This is just a one shot nothing more, please don't read this if you haven't seen a good amount of FullMetal Alchemist or Brotherhood there is a major spoiler in this and I don't want to be the one to ruin it for you :'(, well anyway enjoy I hope you do even though it's a bit short!
Roy's POV
"I don't want you to tell the boys about his death when they come back. It's just better that they find out on there own. They're already going through enough." I say to Riza while looking through some of the paperwork I still have to do. Thanks to all of these mishaps I have been held back on my work. Why did he have to go and die on me, he said he was going to be the one to help me get to the top. Riza replies "Of course sir, will there be anything else Colonel?" Shaking my head I reply "No that's all, you're dismissed." Riza leaves the room and so it becomes completely silent except the sound of moving papers once and awhile. Letting out a sigh I lean back in my chair closing my eyes, I can't lose myself just because of the fall of a single person. I've experienced much worse at war why can't I handle just this, damn that Hughes for being so close to me. I'll have to cope and get on with my life.
-knock knock- I straighten up and say "Come in." in a monotone voice. Edward busts through the door causing a slight look of surprise to cross my face. "Fullmetal what are you still doing here I thought you were traveling out of town?" I ask looking over the enraged teen, what could possibly be going on? "Why wasn't I told?" He practically yells giving me just the idea what he's talking about. "Well one we all thought you were on your way to Dublin and also it was something you were supposed to find out on your own in time." His scowl grows and he looks to the ground, it almost seemed like he was about to explode.
"I can't hate you." He mumbles scuffing at the ground not once looking up. Cocking an eyebrow I simply say "Oh really." While getting back to some of my paperwork. I'm not surprised when he slaps the papers from my hand and grabs me by my jacket. With an unamused expression I ask "Is there something you need?" In frustration he pushes me away from him and yells "Damn it!" Scoffing I change my focus back to my work hoping to get something done.
This boy is just full of surprises, in a split second he tears me away from my work pinning the chair to the wall causing confusion to fill me. "For years I have been cold and receded but I just can't take it anymore!" His lips crash against mine causing complete shock to blow through me as I try to understand what is going on. Taking it in I respond closing my eyes and deepening the kiss. Never in a million years did I think the runt felt this way, let alone that I'd like it. Did I really just think that?
He releases from the kiss breathing heavily and tears staining his face. With a sympathetic smile I wipe away his tears and pull him into my arms. He relaxes in my arms closing his eyes not saying a word. After awhile of silence with him in my arms he mumbles "Please don't judge me." He's so cute. "Of course not I don't think I could bring myself to do such a thing." He looks up to me and asks "Is that a promise?" I couldn't help but smile when I reply "Yes, I promise." And at that I place a kiss on his forehead. Not wanting the moment to ever end, I didn't expect such a quick change either. What is to expect this is FullMetal after all
