On the way_
«Jeff, accelerate. We're doing 20 kilometres an hour!»
«Nick, we're on mountain roads, we must be careful!» the driver answered him, without taking his eyes off the road. «And it's your fault, if we ended up in that damn restaurant forgotten by God» he snorted, trying to avoid a pothole.
«You were not of this opinion, just a little hour ago, when you were cramming half the menu under the schocked eyes of everyone present. It seemed like you hadn't eaten for twenty years!» the dark-haired boy teased him. «And now, for theloveofGod, Jeff, push that damn accelerator!»
«And what if a dog will ever come out and I will run over it!? And what if I will end up in prison for manslaughter?! And what if...» the blonde one burst.
«And what if you will stop being so paranoiac and you will push that damn accelerator so we go back home and we throw ourselves into bed?» the dark-haired boy interrupted him, yawning. «Because of your grumblings, I turned sleepy!» Said that, he stretched himself and settled back in the seat.
Several minutes should have been passed since Nick clenched his eyelids, plunging into the world of dreams, neglectful of Jeff's muttering, when he heard a loud "sbam" . He quickly opened his eyes, just in time to see a dog fly across the road and immediatly stand up, as if nothing had happened, then take back running.
He looked at his friend at the steering-wheel, that was more pale than a ghost, his eyes wide opened, while he was squeezing harder and harder the steering-wheel.
He was sweating. Cold.
...
Bad. Very bad sign.
Jeff sweating this way was definitely a very bad sign.
«Jeff... Nothing happened...» Whispered Nick trying to calm him down, patting him lightly on the shoulder.
The other rolled his eyes and exclaimed: «N-no... nothing! God, Nick! I've just ran over a dog!» Emphasizing with squeaky voice the last word.
«Who stood up and start running as if nothing had happened! C'mon, Jeff!»
Nick clearly heard the other hold his breath and he swore that a fit of hysterics were coming... and he wanted just go back home and throw himself into bed.
Without thinking about it one more second and before Jeff had the chance to speak, he unbuckled his seat belt and took Jeff's face in his hands, kissing his friend.
Pulling back they were breathless, because they forgot to breath, but the blond one were slightly calm.
«And what was that for?» Jeff asked, licking his lips with nonchalance.
«Just a tranquillizing of Duvall's house.» the other answered, raising his shoulders, flushing, because of the half-darkness of the place the other didn't notice that.
«Nick, I think I need another time your tranquillizing» the blonde one said hesitant, and without waiting for an answer, as if they made an unspoken agreement, their lips met another time, and another time again, until they finished all the oxygen and, with disappointment of both, they pulled away.
«Look if you needed to run over a dog, to let me kiss you» concluded Nick and Jeff could swear that he saw a smile light up Nick's face.
