Terry, The New Trainer
" Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep!" screeched my alarm clock. " Huh?" I said sleepily. I looked at the foot of my bed. A heap of presents was lying there. Then it hit me like a slap in the face. It was Christmas! I grabbed one of my gifts and tore back the wrapping paper. A sleek, black Pokédex fell out, along with a trainer belt, a bag of Potions, Antidotes, and Paralyze Heals, a hat with a Tentacool on it, 10 Pokéballs, TM 11, and all the right clothing for training, ( gloves with fingers cut off, vest, etc.). I set that aside, hardly daring to believe it. I grabbed another, with Staryu and Starmie all over it. It felt quite heavy. I tore back the wrapping paper. I gasped. It was a laptop computer of TPN ( The Pokémon Network). A smaller but just as heavy parcel, was attached to it. It contained 12 packs of 10 AAA batteries. I put it aside. Then I remembered I should be opening these with my family. I gathered up as many of the presents as I could carry and rushed downstairs. They were in the living room drinking coffee and waking up. I had to take two more loads before all of my presents were downstairs ( including the two that I had already opened.) My twin brother, Terry came bolting down the stairs after me. We were both 12, brown hair dyed bright blond, blue eyes, and tanned brown skin. He was named Terry and so was I. " Hi Honey." my Mom said cheerfully." Hi!" we said in unison. " Sorry I opened these to presents upstairs." I said. " Yah, me too!" Terry chimed in. I opened the rest of my presents which turned out to be a watch, more Pokéballs, books on pokemon, the very last one we both got the same. A ticket for a 2 month cruise around the world. We both whooped and cheered for about 15 minutes straight. I gave Mom and Dad their presents. ( Dad, 2 bottles of Max Repel, and Mom 2 Max Potions. Terry got them the same things except the Max Repel went to Mom and the Max Potions to Dad.) They both hugged us and kissed us and thanked us for our presents. " What do we do on the cruise?" I asked. " Well," began Mom. " We stop at different islands and can catch Pokémon, buy souveniers to take home, or just explore the land. No matter what you and your equipment will be transported back to the ship in four hours due to the special technology just dicovered about teleportation. Also, the cruise will start in 4 hours." finished Mom. " What!" we yelled at the same time. There was a mad rush to be first in the bathroom to get ready. I beat Terry to it and washed my face combed my hair, and had a shower. I came out 15 minutes later all refreshed. I flew into my room and started filling my suitcase full of underwear, socks, shorts, t-shirts, jeans, sweatpants, slicker pants, sweat shirts, some woolen sweaters (for cold weather), a jacket, a snowsuit, mittens, gloves, winter boots, a scarve, rubber boots, long johns, pillows, pyjamas for warm and cold weather, some bathing suits, some sunglasses, all of my money, books, all of my presents, and anything else that I might need. We ate a good breakfast of waffles and Maple Syrup. Terry and I went up to brush our teeth. " I can't wait!" I said thickly, my mouth full of foamy toothpaste. I spit it out, rinsed my mouth, wiped my face, and flew out of the bathroom and down the stairs.
