This story is NOT religious.

It's a story i was inspired to do after reading a book.

Prologue.

Damien knew what was coming, even before the council called him. He stepped forward with no trace of emotion on his face.

"You must know why we have called you here" Max, the head of the council said. He had blonde hair that grazed his shoulders and ice blue eyes that seemed to have the power to look into anyone's soul.

"I do" Damien's voice betrayed him. The words came out as a whisper and he silently cursed.

"You have committed a crime that not even God himself could forgive. You followed instincts based on Lust. Worst part is we all know you are strong enough to ignore it!" Max roared.

Damien stood stiffly still, for he knew what was going to happen next.

"You know what must be done"

Damien knelt down and spread his black wings. "I do"

Max stood and made his way over to Damien. He grabbed the angles wings and, with a sickening crack, broke the wings in half.

Damien cried out, clutching his shoulder in pain. He shook from the amount of effort it took to restrain himself from kneeling on both knees and ask for forgiveness. He looked up to see Sebastian-the angel of death- make his way over to him. His expression grim.

He walked up to Damien, motioned him to stand and, with Damien on his heels, strode out of the room.

"Why'd you do it?" Sebastian's voice was strained. "We all know you could have ignored it"

"But I didn't"

"No! No! No, No, No, No!" Selene screamed " It does not have to be this way!"

"Do you think I want to do this Selene?" Sebastian snapped

"Then don't" She sobbed.

Sebastian kept walking. Damien followed, not even sparing a glance at Selene. He had other things to worry about.

"We're here"

Damien stared at the doors. The doors angles used to go to Earth and return, but this time there was no returning for him. The doors opened and Damien made his way over. With his back facing the entrance he looked at Sebastian for the last time.

"I'll see you down there. Be ready for the pain" Sebastian looked away. He could not bear to watch his friend fling himself from the heavens. The worst part was not even here. The council had given him the 'honor' of ripping off Damien's wings.

Damien nodded and let himself fall backwards.

Sebastian let seconds pass before looking at the entrance. Damien was gone, and the only things that stayed as proof that he was falling were floating black feathers that seemed to be taking their sweet time to fall.

After a few minutes Sebastian spread his wings and began his journey to Earth, where he would make his friend the thing they both promised each other they would never become.

A Fallen….
