Darkness closed around her, as she turned the corner of the stony passage. Before her stood an altar illuminated be eerie silver light. She watched as a figure shrouded in red chanted, "Ana kardium kis dormes mias clife. The time is near great goddess. Soon you will walk among men, and death will follow in your wake."

The altar seemed to respond, glowing a bright blood red. Whispers echoed from it through out the cavern. 'Death...destruction...' Then, as strangely as it had come the glow vanished.

Captivated by the altar, the girl hadn't noticed the figure approaching her, until he was only a few meters away. A gasp escaped her at the sight before her. A tall man, with dark bushy hair stood with one gnarled hand holding a staff. The other hand was outstretched to her, palm up. He looked like a normal man, except that his eyes were of pure evil, slanted and glowing the same color the altar had been.

"It is good to see you Doorway. Come now, you don't want the goddess to wait any longer do you?" Stated the man. Their eyes met, causing the girl to take a step back. But unexpectedly, the man made a grab for her wrist, which she defiantly blocked.

Take more steps in retreated the girl replied, "I don't know what doorway you're talking about. My name is Akane. And I refuse to help you." With that Akane made like a rabbit for the exit.

Her bare feet pounded on the stone as she ran. Yet for all her effort, Akane may as well had been running in place. The man had again spoken in that strange language conjuring up a violent burst of wind to go against her. The wind bent to his wishes, pulling Akane towards him and the altar. "Nooooo..." she screamed loosing her footing and falling to the ground.

Akane clutched at the stones causing her hands to bleed. "There is no use fighting. Now come!" Shouted the man. The wind grew even more violent then before, ripping at her from all angles. Then a voice of an angel called out to her. "Akane...Akane dear...it's time...time..." The voice sounded so far away. Tears welled in her eyes hearing the angelic voice fade. 'No please, don't go! Help me...' she whispered, closing her eyes, the feeling of endless falling filling her.

Author's Note: Okay, so what do you think? Should I continue this or not? I can't really say anything more about this, with out giving much away. But as you can tell something out there is coming for Akane whether or not she wants it to. What will happen to Akane? And how is the rest of the gang involved?
