A/N: I would like to point out that these are straight out of an instagram account that i have created for small writing pieces. Like I say on my profile I'm an insomniac so I apologise for the terrible plots for some of these. I'm often up very late and don't think when I write. I just do because if I don't then I don't sleep.

"Big brother, can we play hide and seek?" The little bundle of joy that was young Emil, Iceland, spoke out with great excitement. Norway looked up from his book and saw the excited face immediately placing said book down on the coffee table. Emil ran out of the room giggling with mischief as his brother wasn't given a chance to say no.

"One... Two.. Three"

Emil hid in a basket of clothes quickly blending into the clothes. What a great hiding place! It was warm and well cushioned! Norway would surely never find him there. Searching high and low for the small nation, Norway became more annoyed and worried. How hard could it be to find an excited child in a silent house?

"Emil?" His voice echoed a little in the empty and silent house. No answer. Norway's usually passive expression, frowned with worry. The bedrooms were clear so was the bathroom and kitchen. He had been in the living room when the game began so only one room was left. The laundry. Upon opening the laundry, he found clothes scattered on the floor.

'In the hampers? Hmm so that's where he has been all along..' The lid of the hamper was slid down and revealed clothes that needed to be washed. White silky stands of hair were sticking out from one of his shirts. A little ivory skinned foot twitched as the warmth of the clothes covering it left.

'I didn't think he was have the ought it through this well.. He is growing up..' Upon removing the last clothing article that was covering the young nation, Lukas' eyes widened at the site. Little Emil was fast asleep hugging one of his shirts and looked very pleased with his dream.

'Alas, he is still but a little troll wanting to play and sleep. I will protect him from harm.. That is my role.. As his brother..' Lukas smiled gently and chuckled to himself at the sight. It was one he wouldn't forget. Afternoons like these were rare and the growing nation would never know of how much these moments meant to his beloved not-older-brother.
