~Welp, tis MandyJoe with yet another yaoi fic. First off, these characters do not belong to me. They belong to Natsume. Lastly, this is a yaoi fic. ^^ You were warned, so your flames don't do a thing to me, they simply insult your intelligence. I always wanted the farmer(whom I named Erin.) to be able to marry on of the guys. So, here's a fic about it.~
The day he showed up on my farm, was a bright, spring day. He was hungry, and lost....so, I helped him out. His name was Cliff, I found out. He was traveling on foot, with his eagle, Cain. Then he left, and I went on with my work.
Then, in the mountains, I saw him again. There he was, standing in a single ray of sunlight. For a moment, my breathe was taken away. I got a hold of myself, and went over to speak to him, dismmising the feeling as my imagination. Before I left, I gave him some Veryberries, as a friendly gesture.
I saw him everyday after that, sometimes in the mountains, sometime on Green Ranch. I always greeted him, and gave him something off my farm, or something I had gotten from the mountains.
People began to ask me if I wasin love with him, and I dismissed it, saying of course I wasn't. But, I started to think, maybe I was.
I often thought of him, while I was working. His voice, his eyes, his face....everything. I wondered what would happen if I did love him, and if I told him.
I kept it on friendly terms, just talking, and giving him the occasional gift. I tried to like one of the girls, and I thought maybe Popuri was the one. And, I thought he was getting on fairly well with Ann. Then, I noticed, he always seemed to be about to say something when I would get ready to leave.
And...then I realized, I was in love with him. I had to tell him....I waited an entire season, before I got up to courage.
One fall evening, I found him near the mountains peak. He sat there, looking off into space. I walked up, sitting down next to him.
"Hello, Erin...." he said, looking towards me. I simply nodded in response, trying not to blush. But, his life on the road had sharpened his instincts, and his senses.
"Is something wrong?" he asked, simply looking towards me.
"No....I just have something I need to tell you..." I spoke, barely above a whisper. He waited in silence, for what I had to say.
"Cliff, I....I love you..." I looked down at the ground once I said this. I closed my eyes, waiting for his angry response. I opened them though, when I felt his arms around me. I looked up, to see him sitting next to him, arms around my shoulders, as he looked into my eyes.
"Erin....I love you too," he kissed me softly on the lips. The shock I felt, could not e described, but, it was gone in an instant, when I kissed him back.
We were like that for what seemed an enternity. So lost in the moment were we, that we did not hear the approaching conversation. Ann, and Popuri were out for a evening walk on the mountain, and they walked up in the middle of it. We looked up when we heard them gasp, and they stood there staring at us.
Popuri stood there for a moment, before running off, tears pouring down her cheeks. Ann stood there, staring at us angrily, then stomping off down the mountain.
We just sat there, still arm in arm, looking at each other, worry in our eyes.
~Well, the end. There might be more chapters, if I get enough positive replies.
