Jace Horn stepped out of the small shower cubicle and felt refreshed. He walked half-naked toward the window, with only a towel covering his lower-body. The Corellian moonlight bathed his body and his homely dwelling. It was a three room flat in a not-so-dingy apartment complex. He walked out on the balcony and looked down. A dizzying height greeted him but he didn't' flinch. He was used to this already. Calling upon the force, he jumped up onto the roof of the complex and looked out over the whole landscape. Buildings everywhere. No land to be seen. But yet it held a surreal beauty to him because it brought back memories of childhood and of his late father bringing him up to these heights and teaching him about the stars.
His father. His father was a Jedi Knight, like he was, and had died of old age. Peacefully and in his sleep, he rested forever. Corran Horn had been an ace pilot in Rogue Squadron and later became a famed Jedi Knight and good friend of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. He was dead too, buried in Tatooine by his request. The Jedi flame had been re-lit, and the Jedi continued to be the protectors of the galaxy. Where there is good Jedi, there are bad Sith however, and the battle between good and evil still rages on. The modern day Luke Skywalker, Master Vohna ViBash, was a beacon of good and righteousness just as Luke was and Jace was proud to be training under him. Yet, there was something he felt he could not get under Master Vohna. The Twi'lek was unarguably very wise and had such a good control of the Force that he could swat a fly 500 miles away but there was something-
His thoughts were cut short as a shrill cry broke the night. His hand flexed instinctively and his lightsaber flew to his hand from inside the flat out the sunroof. Ignoring his not-so-clothed state, he called upon the Force to direct him to where the sound was coming from. His head turned left about 90 degrees and there in the distance, just across a drop of about 600 stories, was a petite woman being undressed by a ragged, unshaven, and undoubtedly muscular man. With the force, he sprung soundless next to the man and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Wha??" he said in a gruff voice as he turned around suddenly.
"I think you should unhand that girl." Jace concealed his saber by holding it behind him against his back.
The man surveyed Jace and bellowed a hearty laugh. "Haha! What are you gonna do? Get outta here, shrimp." He turned back to the lady.
"I said, unhand her." His voice was becoming sterner but he still did not reveal his saber.
"Get outta her punk before I have to pound you." He started to turn around.
"I will say it one last time." He called upon the Force and lifted the man into the air, 20 ft above the permacreet. "Let go of that girl."
He yelled incoherently and quickly spat out "Okok!! Put me down!" Jace shrugged and let him fall. He landed with a definite thump and scrambled away down the sidewalk.
The young woman stood up into the moonlight and Jace almost gasped at her beauty. About 20 years old, definitely human, and slightly undressed, she was a goddess in his eyes. Jet black hair wisped across her face in the light breezeas turquoise blue eyes sparkled with unshed tears. He stuttered for words but she put a finger to his lips and leaned in close to kiss him. He almost returned the kiss but pushed her back gently but firmly, but only so that their faces were inches apart.
"W-We should get you some clean clothes and a place to spend the night. Um, follow me. He walked toward a walkway to his apartment complex and she followed, smiling beautifully, knowing that he liked her.
