THUD.
I fell.
It hurt.
A lot.
Looking up, I saw that I had landed on a bed of golden flowers. My black hoodie was stained in dark yellows and greens. A large section of fabric was torn from the bottom left of my clothing, and my dark blue denim jeans were ripped and muddy. Taking in my surroundings, I noticed that I appeared to be in some sort of ancient underground temple. Cool, I thought to myself. Currently kneeling, I attempted to take a step. My legs immediately gave out from beneath me, sending me crashing into the grass and dirt. I collapsed, exhausted. The fall had taken a toll on me.
After a few minuets of rest, I tried to walk again. My legs wobbled, but held strong. I stumbled down a dark, dusty corridor, and a faded purple archway lay ahead. The entrance lead to a room with sunlight filtering through a crack on the ceiling. A small patch of grass was growing through the stone floor, and in the light.
I lifted my hand to scratch my cheek, when I felt somethink hot, and sticky on my fingertips. I looked, and a red liquid stained my hand. Blood I thought to myself. Looking at my hand, I noticed my palm was scratched and bleeing, too. I felt a sting of pain at the realization of how badly I was hurt. My only choice was to limp onwards, towards the light and grass. I hadn't a clue where I was, or what I would see. In fact, I couldn't remember anything. My memories were nothing but a muted haze. Family, friends, even my own name was lost in the fog on amnesia.
A second shadowy arch lay ahead. I paused for a moment, considering my options. I could either sit around and wait to heal, or go out and explore. Resting seemed like the frist option, but then it dawned upon me. What if there's some terrible beast roaming around? I'd be cornered againts the stoney walls with no way to escape! It'd be better to try and understand my surroundings first. I limped hurridly to the second archway, when I hear a shrill, cheerful voice from behind me...
