Ice Cream: the solution for a broken heart

Fifteen year old Victoire Weasley could be seen running down the seventh floor corridor in tears. If you had the chance to pass her tonight, you would wonder to yourself what was wrong. She's such a sweet, fun girl. What could possibly make her cry so hard?

Luckily, the first person to spot this happened to be her best friend. Teddy Lupin was watching the halls on Head boy duty when he spotted Victoire. He immediately ran over to her.

"Victoire! What's the matter?" he asked her in concern.

"It's Michael," she said between tears. "I walked in on him with Phoenix Finnegan!"

Teddy immediately took action as he took her between his arms into his chest. "I'm so sorry, Tori, I really am."

"I never thought it could happen. I really liked him. He treated me so nicely, and we've been friends since first year. What am I going to do?" she sniffed.

"I have an idea," Teddy said. "I know exactly what will cheer you up."

"No, I just want to go curl up in my bed and cry."

"Not a chance," Teddy smirked, snagging her hand and dragging her down the stairs, "You're coming with me."

Victoire glared at Teddy, still with tears in her eyes, clueless what he was up to. She made several attempts to escape without avail. Finally, they reached a painting with several fruit on it. Victoire looked on in a new found curiosity. "What are we doing at the kitchens?" she asked in confusion.

Teddy grinned at her before tickling the pear, allowing them entrance into the kitchens. "Let's just say I remember what used to cheer you up when you were upset growing up. I figured after a bad breakup like this, you may need some ice cream."

Victoire smiled slightly, but it was clear she was still extremely upset.

"Mr. Teddy! Miss Victoire!" the elves shouted excitedly. One hopped over to them. "Miss Victoire, why is you crying? Is you okay?"

Victoire looked down to her and said while wiping her eyes, "Hey Dippy. I am just going through a really hard time right now."

"And I thought the perfect way to help cheer her up is with some ice cream. Can we get some strawberry?" Teddy asked the house elf.

"Oh yes, Dippy will do anything for Miss Victoire! Dippy will help friend of Harry Potter out! How is Mister Potter? Winky tells much about him!" She exclaimed excitedly.

Victoire couldn't help but feel a smile come on as she looked at the innocent young house elf who very much looked up to Winky, a now very elderly elf who watched over the others in the kitchens. "Uncle Harry is doing great! His oldest, James, will be starting next year. You'll probably meet him soon. He loves to eat as much as Teddy does," she continued, slowly starting to feel better.

"Oh wonderful! He's so wonderful! He make us house elves work for money now! And he saves the wizard world! We owe him so much!" Dippy exclaimed excitedly as she conjured up two strawberry ice cream bars from the freezer. "Ice cream for Mr. Teddy and Miss Victoire! Enjoy! And feel better, is be okay, Miss Victoire!"

That did it for Victoire. Seeing the young innocent elf being so optimistic and nice to her, Victoire finally released a smile as she started biting into her ice cream bar.

"Fifteen years old, and still reacting the same way to ice cream like you did at five," Teddy grinned at her. Victoire blushed slightly and looked away for a moment.

"Thanks. You have no idea how much I needed that."

"Now let's go finish this upstairs so I can go kill Michael." Victoire let out a chuckle as they exited the kitchens.
