A/N Here's a one shot for you guys. I feel bad about the writer's block I have on Ordinarily Strange, so here's something to make up for that.
The Vow
At first his palms were sweating and fear glazed upon him. Sweat began to bead down from his forehead, and he quickly wiped the salty drops of water away. Daniel Meade was not one to be nervous about a woman. But this wasn't just any woman; it was the woman he was to spend his remaining years of life with.
Betty Suarez, soon to be Betty Suarez-Meade was her name, the name of the woman walking down the aisle right now.
Betty hugged her father, and Ignacio shook Daniel's hand in a firm grip. With a silent warning to Daniel (and a grin too) he sat next to Justin, tears obvious in his eyes.
Betty smiled widely at Daniel, and he did so back. The priest started to speak, but his words were drowned out by their own fierce heartbeats. Soon though, it was time for the vows to be said.
So on, Daniel started.
"Betty, you've put up with so many things from me. The harshness of the first week I met you and the extra pain I've caused you. Yet, you stand here, right in front of me, and choose to forget all the evil I've doneā¦and that makes you great, it makes you the one thing I can never be; Pure. You are pure Betty Suarez-Meade. Full of life, love, and cherishing hope, you are my skylight written into silent words in the dark horizon. I want to live with you, and die with you. You are mine. I love you." Small tears of happiness found their way down many people's faces. But the only one he cared about was hers. And she looked- was so happy.
It was now Betty's turn.
"Daniel. My Daniel," Her voice cracked, and he chuckled happily. "You are the one person that I'd die without. I thank god, and your father, for leading me your way; to the offices of MODE. No matter how horrible you treated me in the beginning it shows me how far you've come. The thing that I met in the start was just a shell, this is you. This is the Daniel I feel in love with. The real one," Tears welled up in his own eyes. "From starships to land, the gravitational pull brings me straight to you. I love you that much, and more." Tears rolled down their faces. They said their 'I do's', and barely heard the priest say kiss the bride, before they crashed their lips together. Standing ovations were given, but all they could think about, is about how lucky they were, to have each other, to hold, as long as they both shall live.
Corny? I know :) Like it? Hate it? REVIEW! :) Peace!
