A Day in the life of the Curse-breakers
It was a beautiful, hot sunny day. Bill Weasley finally had his day off to relax after weeks of hard work on the current pyramid they were working on for Gringotts.
"Bill! Bill!"
Bill groaned. "He's away on holiday in the Bahamas," he yelled back annoyed.
"Bill, Chase found one last curse on the pyramid," Aubrey sounded worried as she walked into his tent, keys jangling in her pocket.
Bill rolled his eyes. "Can't he handle it? He is the one who has more experience."
Aubrey shook her head. "It's the Snake Temple so he needs back up with experience," she said.
Bill groaned again. They had a new bunch of people that had been sent to their camp to gain experience in curse-breaking. Bill did not know why the goblins did not simply leave the newbies in a room with dozens of wards and curses and leave them to get out of it themselves as beginner experience instead of sending the recruits to them where they often were sent back missing a couple of body parts.
Bill cast a cooling spell on himself before heading outside and facing the desert heat.
"Bill, glad to see you," Chase said as he saw Bill.
"Tell me what is the point of doing this again?" Bill sighed.
"To get paid by the goblins," Chase said cheerily. "So the only rune that is written in warning of the curse is the rune of Death which can easily be interpreted that if the curse befalls you, you die."
"You sound far too cheerful about that in my opinion," Bill stated.
"If I go down, I'm going to get cursed and die doing something I love," Chase said.
"Wonderful, if you die and we get attacked I'm going to use you as my body shield," Bill deadpanned.
Sometimes Bill really wondered how he had ever become friends with Chase. Or Aubrey for that matter.
