July 31st
Amy satt on her bed looking for any signs anyoned else in the family was up, she wanted to read the in her Harry Potter books that she had got a year ago, she was currently reading the last book, Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows, but she had to do it in secret because if the family would know who she was or what day it actually was she would miss the chance to make a change.
She wanted to be herself, to finally do something without needing to lower herself to her sister level. Sure it was nothing wrong with her sister but she didn't wanted to be held back because of her sister, it had always been that way, like the time they learned to ride a bike, she was the oldest but they did still learned to bike at the same time and with the same size of bikes, she is small for her age but she was taller than her sister which meant she had to ride a bike that was too small. It has always been that way, she have never been able to do anything better than her sister through it is normal that the older one are better and stronger because they are bigger and have more experience. Her sister named Sara are three years younger but they still get exactly the same things at the same time. That had lead to her kind of spoiled sister to think she was the dominant one. They also have clothes that was thd same size, lucky enough Amy was short and pretty thin, her soon-to-be eleven years old body was pretty much muscles and bones while her sister was tall for her age and not as thin as her sister but still Amys clothes that was made for 8-years olds when she was soon eleven.
Today was her birthday but she didn't expect any gifts or cake as the family though she was born about a month later however her real birthday was a secret just as her and her parents being magic are a secret too, in her young life Amy had keeped a secret that big from her pretend-to-be-family that she had concealed parts of who she was. She was hoping to get her Hogwarts letter by the morning, as it would be easier to go out before the family wakes up and if she get it in the morning she wouldn't look disappointed or suddenly be happy which would lead to unpleasant questions. Amy left the unpleasant thoughts and reached for the Harry Potter book only to discover that her bookmark had fallen out of the book, Amy just giggled inside as she was in a unexpected good mode and had found out that her magic was more useful than most childrens so she did just open the book on a random page and it was the right page, magic sure was useful but she wished that she could use it in front of everyone else and not had to keep it for herself. She had started doing "freak things" when she was almost a year old, when she was older she had been told to not show any "freaky stuff" in front of her sister or anyone in the family. Until the age of ten when she started reading Harry Potter in secret she thought that her magic was something freaky and the fact that she could do strange, freaky stuff was because there was something wrong about her. Before she was ten she thought she needed to hide her magic because it maked her more freaky than she was, after she had turned ten she hided it because she didn't wanted anyone in the family to know about the truth, about her parents and her plan to sneak away to Hogwarts.
