The door opened just as Kisame put his feet over the edge of the bed. The Uchiha looked lazily across the room at his partner, then his eyes slipped around his blue body to the one still lying on the bed. Sakura shrank away from his red gaze, a small gasp escaping her as she pulled the sheets further up around her.

"Need something?" Kisame asked coolly as he stood, pulling on his pants. His hands shook slightly as he fastened them, but that was the only sign that anything was out of the ordinary.

"...What is she doing here?" Itachi asked calmly, almost kindly, his face expressionless. Kisame stepped toward him, shrugging as he subtly put himself between Itachi and Sakura.

"Just havin some fun, you know?" A fang-filled grin spread across his face. Itachi's eyes slid past Kisame to rest on Sakura again. She seemed torn between becoming as small and still as she could and running for her life. Kisame edged into Itachi's line of sight again as he moved toward the dresser by the door. "So, are you gonna watch me get dressed or something?" he joked as his partner's eyes snapped back to him, roving over the small marks on his chest and neck.

"...Just be ready to leave in five minutes." And then he was gone. Kisame closed the door and waited a few seconds to be safe, then let out a small sigh of relief. The half-done button of his pants popped open and they slipped halfway down his ass as he leaned on the dresser.

Then he turned toward Sakura, grinning widely as he redid them properly. "Got to leave now, his highness demands punctuality with his morning onigiri," he laughed in that solid way of his as he swept toward her, gathering her into his arms and kissing her cheek messily to soothe her. It worked, some of the tension unwinding from her as she laughed and tried to push him away. He let himself be pushed and headed toward the door. "Just be gone by noon, all right?"

As he swept his cloak about his shoulders she nodded, "All right," and then he stepped out the door.

"She's a weakness, you know," Itachi said quietly as they sat at the bar of the restaurant. "You should get rid of her." Kisame fiddled with his chopsticks for a moment before taking a bite of his food.

"You got rid of all your weaknesses, didn't you?" he mused to himself with chopsticks still touching his lips, looking at the ceiling. "Except that one." He felt Itachi tense for half an instant beside him.

"He's not a weakness. He's a standard to measure myself against."

"Not much of a standard, is he?" Kisame laughed, but it trailed off as Itachi's eyes spun. He coughed nervously as he realized the anger was more at his insulting Sasuke's abilities than at his laughter at the other man. "Well...we're still human, you know? Even after everything we've done, even with how I barely look it," he bared his fangs in a smile, "We're still human. I kinda like being 'weak' once in a while."

Itachi didn't answer, but the look on his face as he stared down at his plate was answer enough.
