After Reiji helps rescue Azusa, Ruki shows his appreciation with a thoughtful gift. What could be less suspicious? This story takes place in my "Reiji and Ruki are bros" fantasy land. SFW, smut-free, no yaoi (sorry). Implied non-fatal harm to various characters. Implied abuse (past). Contains scenes of extreme scratchiness.

1. Prologue

Prologue

When word reached the Mukamis and Sakamakis that a human in the region had made a pact with a demon in return for wealth and power, they were initially unconcerned. unwise, but ordinarily none of the vampires' business. Unfortunately, this particular demon-summoner had a taste for abducting and torturing children and youths, which made him more of a concern – especially when his most recent abductee was none other than Azusa.

When the Mukamis were unable to retrieve their brother, Ruki approached his frenemy for help. Together, the two of them were able to tackle both the summoner and his demonic ally. Azusa has been rescued and is recovering in the safety of the Mukami mansion.

(NB: Azusa is fine. Yuuma has him sitting in the garden where he can watch over his baby brother and occasionally feed him fresh berries, because Azusa Must Be Protected.)

When we join our trashlords, Ruki is visiting the Sakamaki mansion to thank Reiji and to show his appreciation with a thoughtful gift. No hidden motives there, right..?
