"Spock!" Jim called down the hallway to the retreating form of his First Officer. The Vulcan turned around to face the Captain, who was quickly running out of breath. "Spock, good thing I caught you."
"What do you need, Captain?" Spock calmly asked. Like usual, he clasped his hands behind his back in a very formal stance. His Captain's amusement at something was evident, and he was curious as to what that was.
"Spock, say 'Bilbo', except sing it."
"Why, may I ask, are you requesting me do this?"
"Just do it."
"I do not sing, Captain."
"I'll make it an order."
"That is illogical."
"As you have so often pointed out, Mr. Spock, humans are illogical."
Spock paused for a moment, deciding on what would be the most logical choice. While there was no clear reason as to why the Captain wished him to sing the word "Bilbo", it would be even more illogical for him to be ordered to sing it. He made up his mind and gave into his Captain's request.
"Bilbo," he sang, and Jim burst out laughing. "I do not see what is funny."
"It just is!"
