AN: Got this idea the other night, when I was wondering whether Voldemort ever knew Regulus stole the locket. Hope you enjoy. Always remember to R&R!
Voldemort was flying over a lake somewhere, his mind set on the town he was headed: Godric's Hollow. He passed muggles, witches and wizards, who never knew he passed and whom he didn't care one bit about.
RAB was floating over a dark lake in a cave, his mind set to the task he had given himself. He passed the inferi, he could see them below, but they would not distract him from his cause this evening.
The Dark Lord landed at the edge of the town, the evening dark setting in and a hush covering the homes before him. He walked at a brisk pace in the direction of the Potter home.
The Son of Black hopped from the boat onto the island, his wand illuminating the pitch dark surroundings. He headed straight for the basin in the middle of the rocky island.
Tom Riddle burst through every protection the home had. He broke in through the door, shooting of a Killing Curse to end a short duel with James Potter and floated up the stairs in search of his filthy muggleborn wife and their son.
Regulus Black swallowed down every last drop of the hallucinagetic potion protecting the horcrux. He dropped the fake locket into the bowl, which quickly refilled itself. He had given Kreacher explicit instructions on what to do now.
At the very last second, he could see the curse rebound, and he knew there was nothing he could do. 'But how, but why?' He thought as his body was blasted into bits.
He knew that it was over, he'd done what he'd come to do. 'You will not survive this, Voldemort. I will not let it happen.' He thought, as the inferi dragged him under the calm waters.
Baby Harry screamed, he wailed in his crib for hours until the large man came and took him off to another place.
Kreacher sobbed and moaned for young Master Black until he could not see straight anymore, then he apparated home to fulfill the Master's orders.
AN: I know, it's a lot different from my normal writing style. To be honest, I don't think I like it much. But, you never know until you try, so I'm glad I tried. Tell me what you think in one of those handy reviews.
