Short Sad Life Left…
Cave Johnson, CEO and Founder of Aperture Science, watched through a one way window, his scientists, work on project, GLaDOS. His lovely assistant, Coraline handed him a blue bottle of pain pills.
"Thank you *cough* Caroline…" He said sickly. He opened the bottle, and quickly swallowed two pain pills. A lab assistant came into the room and informed them that Project GLaDOS was 95% finished.
"Good" Cave mumbled "The sooner the better…" He looked over at Caroline "Are you sure you don't want to run the place Caroline? "
"Yes, Mr. Johnson, I'm positive."
"Caroline you've been working *Cough* for me for years… Stop calling me Cave for Lemons sake…" Caroline looked down bitterly at the man and nodded.
-Two hours later-
In the GLaDOS chamber, Cave and Caroline Started at the machine, Cave turned to Caroline,
"I want you to run this place, Caroline" Cave said firmly
"Sir, I- I- Can't…" Caroline said quietly
"Caroline, I don't take 'No' as an answer."
"I won't"
"You WILL Caroline"
"NO!" Johnson started at his ass assistant and chuckled.
"Caroline, This is the first time you've *cough* raised you voice at me…" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a dart gun,
"Caroline, I'm running out of options here, so *Cough* I'm making you…"
"Wha- What are you doing sir?" Caroline asked freighted, Cave Chuckled
"The darts *Cough Cough* are filled with that moon rock gel crap… Lab boys tell me that if I shoot myself with it, my condition will worsen… And I'll *Cough* have minutes to live…" He slowly pointed the dart gun at his head.
"Sir, please don't do it…" Tears welled up in her eyes
"Caroline, I DO NOT take no for an answer, I'll count to three… You'd better get in that machine at three."
One…
Caroline steeped back a little
Two…
She ran over to the machine and activated it…
Three…
Johnson smiled and lowered the gun… Caroline rushed over to Cave's Wheel Chair and pushed it to the machine,
"Caroline… It's been fun, Goodbye." He shot himself with the dart gun, and fell on the floor.
"CAVE! NO!"
"Caroline *Cough* get in the *Cough* Machine, Goddamn it!" Caroline had run out options, she walked the machine, and cried.
"Thank You Caroline, Thank you, ThaNK yoU." He closed his eyes…
GLaDOS awoke, her mechanical eye rapidly looked the room, and many engineers covered the room. She growled…
