Neal,
Well, what can I say? Happy birthday! You're 36 now! A bit ironic, me giving you birthday cards now, too – never thought that would happen. ;-)
You've been working for the FBI for almost four years now, and I've gotta say, it has been one hell of a ride. At the risk of sounding gushy and sentimental, I'm glad you got the deal. We've become friends, and we've had good moments and bad, but at the end of the day, all that matters is faith – faith that whatever the other is doing, it's for a good reason. And we're still friends, through thick and thin.
I also enclosed a ticket to that art exhibit that you wanted to go see tomorrow. It's two miles out of your radius, but that's why I got a ticket for El and I also. :-)
Anyway, I'm running out of space on the card, so I just wanted to say…Happy Birthday, Neal!
Forever Friends,
Peter

Dear Neal,
Oh, my goodness! You're thirty-six already! I remember when I first met you when you showed up on my doorstep…I'm glad that I did! The past years have been wonderful knowing you, and I'll never forget the times you've been so thoughtful and loving.
Before I knew you, I used to be upset that Peter spent so much time devoted to you, but now I know that he did it because he knew you were amazing and he could see your potential. I'm glad that he caught you the second time so that you would take his deal, because if he hadn't, I don't think I would know you so well now!
I look forward to seeing the art exhibit with you and Peter tomorrow night – it should be a blast! Happy Birthday, Neal!
Love,
Elizabeth

Neal,
You may have forgotten me while I was in a Greek prison for two years, but I would've felt bad if I neglected you on your birthday. So, because this is on a postcard, I have to make it brief…all I have room left for is… Happy 36th Birthday, Neal!

Dear Neal,
Sorry I couldn't be there for your birthday, but Sterling Bosch has kept me busy in London, and I haven't been able to get a flight out. I'll come in the summer to celebrate, though! Save me some wine and I'll save you a kiss…or two. :-) Anyway, I'm running out of space, so Happy Birthday, Neal!
Love always,
Sara

Neal –
It's happened. You've survived to be 36. I remember when I turned 36…that was the day that five school girls were murdered by Charles Carl Roberts at an Amish school in Pennsylvania. Of course, everyone is told that Roberts committed suicide after that, but we both know that the government actually took him to be tested on and then released to the masses as an obedient robot. What pigs.
Anyway, I'm glad the government (and/or aliens) haven't taken you away so far…there's hope for you yet! Happy birthday, Neal, and as Paris Hilton says, you should live every day as though it was your birthday. (I know there's a gallery downtown that has a rather wonderful Raphael that you could indulge in…should you like to.)

P.S. If it's not too much to ask, could you destroy this when you're done reading it? I don't want Big Brother to find it and trace it back to me.
Author's Note:
So…I thought a little light-hearted fluff piece would be nice to celebrate Neal Caffrey's birthday…yes, it's today! I was surprised to see that no one had put up a fic to honor it, so I decided that a little intervention was called for. My mom even made brownies (at my insistence) to celebrate his birthday…:) Neal just deserves something like that, because I feel like he's so underappreciated…
Also, Neal IS 36 - I looked it up, and he was born in 1977...so old...
Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed the fic! Please review! :)
