Memories
David meets someone who makes him reflect on a time before he was a creature of the night.
Ok, so I was playing 'connect-the-dots' the other day with a few movies I used to watch a lot and this is what came out of it, I took a little artistic liberty with the ages but just roll with it, it's a story to entertain not comply to every fact we know about the movies(or history…) (And I'll include my connected 'dots' at the end)
It was the late 1960's; David, Dwayne, and David's newest creation, Paul, were stalking the streets of their most resent, temporary, home: Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were passing the local drive-in when a group of guys caught David's eye… well, one guy in particular: He was tall, maybe six foot, but stocky in build. He had russet colored hair with long sideburns, and gray eyes that sparkled with laughter and mischief just like the man he knew an entire life time ago…
Josiah G. Scurlock, Doc to most who knew him then, watched as the man across from him danced and laughed with his friends, reminding him so much of William H. Bonney, it hurt. It had been almost a century since Doc last saw Billy, and ninety years or so can do a lot to a person. While Billy had gone out at the tender age of twenty-two, leaving an eternal legacy behind him; Doc had chosen a much different path, and was currently going on 120, not that showed one sign of having lived that long.
"David?" Dwayne asked rousing the other vampire from his thoughts. David shook himself, quickly composing his emotions, and shoved thoughs memories far, far away in the back of his mind. He was David now, Doc Scurlock was a thing of the past, meant to be left there, along with Billy the Kid.
"It's nothing." He said coolly turning to leave with his companions, "Let's go."
But, before he could make it all the way around, he locked eyes with the embodiment of all the distant memories, for only a second, he saw Billy again. Then, with a final burst of effort, David turned and led the way down the street.
Two-Bit Mathews stared after the guy that had been watching him as he left the Nightly Double with his friends, something about him just felt so familiar…
Sodapop Curtis threw an arm around his friend's neck, "You know 'em Two-Bit?"
"I don't think I do," Two-Bit said still deep in thought, "But the one… I felt like I should know him, but I can't place where from."
"Ehh, don't think about it too much." Soda said, "Wanna go to the Dingo? We still got time before I have to get Pony home."
"Sure." Two-Bit smirked, "You can finally buy me that beer you owe me."
"How is it, you can't remember where you know a guy from, but you can remember THAT?!?"
FIN!
Ok connecting the dots: David, from The Lost Boys, was played by Keifer Sutherland. Sutherland also played Doc Scurlock in Young Guns. Billy the Kid was another character from Young Guns, portrayed by Emilio Estevez. Estevez also played a character in the movie The Outsiders, namely one Two-Bit Mathews.
