Toph found Aang in the iceberg, now they're in" THE CAVE OF TWO LOVERS"
(Toph's POV)
I was standing next to Twinkletoes. Next thing I knew, the cave was vibrating like crazy. I couldn't see anything. All of the sudden, I felt someone push me to the ground. I assumed it was Aang, because it would be weird if one of the hippies pushed me.
"Aang, what the heck was that for?" I said angrily
"Toph, the cave was collapsing. The rocks would've fallen on you," he explained.
I wanted to thank him, but it'd seem like I was weak. Only the weak say thank you. Or at least, I don't. So instead I say, "So you had to push me so hard? Be a little gentler next time will ya!"
He didn't say anything, he just sighed. It was because he knew that there would be no winning with me. The Blind Bandit always comes out on top. After a couple of minutes we started walking again.
"Hey Toph, why don't you try to move the rocks? The travelers have all of the torches, we need to get to them" Aang said.
"I already thought of that. It was like a miniature earthquake. If I bend the rocks, the rocks on top would just keep falling. Plus, I like it better like this. We're away from those weirdos and their creepy songs," I stated.
-Time Passes -
I suddenly heard Aang cry "Yes we made it. I think I see the opening."
He was so excited that he started to run. And you know what its like when an air bender runs. I had to earth bend just to keep up with him.
"No twinkle toes. It's actually a tomb.
By that time we were already there inside the tomb. Aang read all of the writing to me and told me how there was a picture of them kissing. But I didn't care about that. All I heard was "Blah Blah Blah Earth benders who built this tunnel Blah Blah Blah." Actually I did hear about the picture but I chose to ignore it.
Aang commented on how our torch was flickering and then read the quote on the wall ,"Love is brightest in the dark." Here I go I thought. All or nothing.
"Aang " I said slowly.
"Yea" he replied.
" You said that there was a picture of Oma and Shu kissing right?"
" Toph, where are you going with this?" he asked clearly a litte uncomfortable.
"Well, what if we kissed?"
"Us kissing? Us…kissing" he said dreamily.
Is he enjoying this? I felt myself start to blush. Hopefully he couldn't see it. "We don't have to if you don't want to. It was just a crazy idea."
"Yea" he said "Us kissing. What a crazy idea. I surely wouldn't want to kiss you." he said sheepishly.
"Really? 'Cause your heartbeat says differently. When I mentioned kissing, it sped up" I got him now. Hopefully he doesn't deny it.
It was pretty funny, really. He didn't know what to say after that. He just said "Its gonna die out, Toph. We gotta kiss." He looked at me expectantly
"Well, lean." I said.
We kissed. It was just a quick peck, but it still meant the world to me.
"It worked!" he cried the cave lit up Toph!"
After that, I felt like I was lit up. I couldn't get that goofy smile off my face. I had to keep my head turned away from him so that he wouldn't see it and think that I liked kissing him. But, I did.
Maybe we'll be a couple. Maybe one day. All I can think is hopefully soon.
