Kagome asked the question that had been bugging her for a while.
"So, which is it? Axel or Lea?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "Honestly, I'm not even sure anymore."
He gave her a weak smile that nearly broke her heart. She was so used to the overconfident and cocky red head that she had been unaware this insecure side of him could even exist.
"Well, whichever one you choose, I can still wipe the floor with you in sparring."
He snorted and replied, "Dream on."
Kagome smiled and responded, "Yeah, well prove it."
He met her challenge with a smirk.
