Sara braced herself on the table edge as she looked at the multitude of photos and sketches before her. Beside her Greg flipping through Simone's phone records and opposite Nick stood with his arms crossed over his chest, a pen tapping at his mouth.

"There is no way that Simone could have called 911," said Sara, gesturing at photos on the left. "There's no blood."

Greg looked up from his file. "So someone else must have done it for her."

"What other evidence do we have that there was another person at the scene?" questioned Nick.

Sara's brow furrowed as she scanned the photos on the right.

Selecting one, she had a sensation that she was being watch. Looking up, her eyes were immediately drawn to the figure – a very familiar figure – standing propped against the doorway, a suitcase beside him.

Their eyes met across the room.

"Hey you," said Grissom in a soft one.

"Hey," said Sara, a warm smile breaking across his face.

"Grissom!" exclaimed Nick, but the returned man only had eyes for his wife as he stepped into the room. Placing the photo on the table, Sara too ignored her coworkers as she shifted.

Both moving together, they met in the space behind Greg. Wife threw arms around husband's neck as his hands slipped to her hips and pulled her close to him.

Their lips crashed together.

Feeling considerably awkward, and not entirely sure where they were, Sanders turned both ways before, seeing his one-time boss and current coworker with their lips locked, turned away flushed.

Looking at Nick, the Assistant Supervisor inclined his head toward the door.

"Good idea," said Greg fumbling for his file carefully before slipping away.

"Prepare yourselves," declared the voice of Hodges moments later as he stepped into the room flapping a file. "The scrape on the kitchen floor is..."

Seeing he was without an audience, he scanned the room and discovered that he did in fact have an audience, only it wasn't paying attention.

"Well," he declared upon spotting the kissing Mr and Mrs Grissom. "That is one way to be welcomed home."

Finito.
