It was a bright and sunny day in Peach Creek, Minnesota. Eddy, leader of the infamous trio "The Eds" was busy reading a magazine at his house, just wanting to relax on the fine day when a crash was suddenly heard.

The short boy groaned as he set down his magazine and got up to address the cause of the disturbance: His best friend and muscle, Ed.

"What do you want, Lumpy?" Eddy said to his friend as he saw that Ed had busted a hole through his wall. Ed wrapped an arm around him and pulled him close to show him a pamphlet. Eddy studied what it was before his eyes lit up in excitement.

"DOUBLE-D!" The two shouted as they zoomed at lightning speed toward the house of the brainy member of their trio. The sock-hatted boy in question was busy making a house of cards before the impact of two bodies on his house walls disrupted it.

"*sigh* Must it be so early in the evening?" The only sane man of his trio of friends said before walking out to see his two comrades planted into the wall of his house. Ed and Eddy peeled themselves off before showing their friend the pamphlet.

"DOUBLE-D! HAPPY DAY!" Ed said in excitement as Double-D took the paper and began reading it.

"You and six of your friends have been invited to choose the ninja school of your choice in Tokyo, Japan. This is TOP SECRET and can only be known by those who choose to answer this pamphlet. In this letter is $3000 and seven plane tickets. This letter will now self-destruct." When he finished, the letter exploded, leaving the cash and tickets untouched.

"WE'RE GONNA BE NINJA'S, DOUBLE-D!" Ed cheered as he hugged both his pals. Eddy was laughing while Double-D looked unsure.

"I don't know, Ed. Are you sure this is a good idea?" The sock-hatted boy said in worry. Eddy gave his meek friend an encouraging smile.

"Hey, this may help you grow a spine, Double-D!" The Leader of the Eds said. Double-D still looked worried but if his friends were there, then he would do it.

"The question is, who are we gonna bring with us. We need four more people to go on this trip..." Double-D mused as Ed set him and Eddy down.

"What are you Dorks up to?" Kevin, the Eds arch-rival (at least in Eddy's case) said as he biked up to them. Alongside him were the other male residents of the Cul-De-Sac: Rolf, Jimmy and Johnny as well as Plank.

"WE'RE GONNA BE NINJAS!" Ed shouted excitedly, causing Jimmy, the most frail of the boys, to panic and cower behind Rolf. The Son of a Shepard smiled as he patted the retainer-wearing boy on the head.

"Rolf knows of the art of Ninjutsu. Rolf's Great Nano battled many a great foe in Japan with them, but the stories are rather mundane." The boys looked at Rolf with interest that he had knowledge of ninjas but decided to let it slide since Rolf's history was rather weird.

"Alright! Sounds fun! I have a green belt in Karate!" Johnny said before doing some clumsy Kung-Fu poses.

"Alright, I'll bite. What is this about?" Kevin asked. Double-D explained what the pamphlet said and that him, Ed, Eddy, Kevin, Rolf, Johnny and Jimmy made up the necessary part to accept the invitation.

"Heh, guess that sounds cool. Might be a bad idea, but I'll go with ya Dorks just so you don't mess it up." Kevin said with a smirk. Eddy scowled at the jab but decided to let it slide.

"Rolf hopes to find remnants of Great Nano's endeavors!" Rolf said proudly with his hands on his hips.

"Plank has got goosebumps! And so do I!" Johnny said as he spun around with his wooden pal in hand.

"I-I hope I can get stronger..." Jimmy said, being the most frail boy in the Cul-De-Sac, he wanted to hopefully become strong like Sarah and Kevin.

"We should also tell our families about this. Just so they know what's going on." Double-D said. The boys nodded and went to inform their families of what they were doing and get packed for the trip.

*Later*

After bidding farewell to their families, Nazz, Sarah and even the Kankers. The seven boys had made it to the airport and were now on the plane heading for Japan. Jimmy looked nervous as he clutched his prize bunny Mr. Yum-Yum while Johnny and Ed couldn't contain themselves as they bounced in their seats.

"Well, Double-D, what do you think? We're going to JAPAN! Think of it, Fame, Adventure...MONEY!" Eddy's eyes changed into dollar signs as he excitedly thought what being a ninja would bring.

Double-D sighed as he closed the book he was reading to address Eddy. "I highly doubt that's what we're going for, Eddy. We're merely going to learn the arts of ninjutsu, maybe even learn some cultural knowledge."

"Rolf agrees with the brainy Ed-Boy. However, Rolf feels as though there is a deeper meaning behind the note given to us..." The Son of a Shepard said as he thought to himself. This got Double-D thinking...Where did Ed find the pamphlet leading them? What was the real reason they were asked to go and learn to be ninjas...more importantly, who made the pamphlet?

As the plane took off, a shadowy figure watched as it took off before turning and entering a glowing blood red portal as he chuckled darkly.

"The truth will be unveiled in due time, boys...and I will be there to show you the dark truth..." The figure said as he entered the portal as it closed.
