Okay don't kill me for writing this. I have a feeling- no I am insane as well. One of the most like OOC things I have ever written and maybe worst. (Hint, Ryoga died)

Rio stood over the tall skyscraping building. Tears and snow coated her long lashes, as tears slowly started to stream freely down. "Ryoga… how could you? Why would you leave me in alone in this world? You promised you stay safe!" she slowly inched towards the edge of the building. She gazed below at the sparkling lights below her.

"Rio, don't do this."

Rio slowly turned around, "What do you want?" she asked coldly.

"I want you safe." Kaito said as he slowly walked towards her.

"Why can't you just let me be?" Rio exclaimed.

"Would Ryoga allow that?" Kaito asked as he stood in front of her.

"Don't say anything about him." Rio said as she shut her eyes.

"I know you miss him badly, but this isn't the way he would want to see you!" Kaito said.

"So… I don't care anymore." Rio said as she squeezed her eyes.

"Well, you should. Because I know that this isn't what Ryoga would like to see." Kaito replied.

Rio opened her eyes and hugged Kaito tightly as more tears started to fall down the side of her face. "Why? He promised he would stay! He said he was fine, he wasn't! Why did he have to leave me?" she said as she cried harder.

Kaito returned the hug, "Rio…he still loves you and you know that."

Rio started crying harder, "Ryoga!" she exclaimed as she slowly sunk to the ground.

"C'mon Rio, Ryoga wouldn't want you to get sick." Kaito said as he patted her back.

Rio slowly let go of him and wiped her tears away and took a deep breath.

"I'll take you home." Kaito said as he scooped her up. The two made in front of Rio's house. Kaito slowly unlocked the door and went up to Rio's room and placed her on her bed. "Thank you Kaito…"

Kaito nodded, "No problem, just don't ever do that again."

Rio nodded, "Um Kaito…"

"Yes?"

"Could you… could you stay over for the night?" Rio asked in a quiet voice.

Kaito looked at her and sighed.

"I just, I don't want to be here alone." Rio said quietly as a small tear ran down the side of her cheek.

Kaito sighed again, "Rio-"

"Please?" Rio asked.

Kaito looked her in the eyes, "Fine…"

Rio slightly smiled. "Thank you Kaito." She said as she scooted over making space for him on her bed.

Kaito nodded as he took of his coat and boots and slowly climbed on. He laid his head on the bed and took a deep breath.

Rio hugged his arm, "Kaito…"

"Yes Rio?"

"Could… could you be Ryoga for me?" Rio asked.

Kaito looked down at her, "What?"

"You act a lot like Ryoga… you worry about me, you tell me what's right, and you're always stubborn."

Kaito remained silent.

"Can you Kaito?" Rio asked as she fingered both of the rings on her hand.

Kaito sighed, "Alright…"

Rio smiled and took of a ring and handed it to him.

"What's this for?" Kaito asked as he took it.

"That was what Ryoga said when I gave it to him." Rio said.

"Do you want me to wear it?"

Rio nodded, "Can you?"

Kaito sighed, "Fine…"

Rio smiled as she hugged his arm tighter, "Thank you Kaito… want to know something else?"

"What?"

"I'm in love with you and I know you're in love with me too…" Rio slowly said as she drifted off to sleep.

Kaito sighed as he fingered the ring. Why did girls have to be right sometimes? How was he supposed to explain the ring to Haruto and his father? Kaito decided not to think too hard about the situation to hard and went to sleep. Somehow, he felt happier when he was sleeping with her.
