A/N: This is a poem I conducted one night I couldn't sleep (I'm do not claim to be a poet so please don't judge too harshly on the rhyming scheme!) It is based on Danny and Vlad's relationship, along with some poetic license, of course. I still believe there was much to Danny and Vlad's relationship that remained untouched I hope you enjoy, it was fun to try out a poem as a way to tell a story for a change.
~ The Lives they Found~
Masters struggled, he had a life to find.
It was truly difficult, being the only one of his kind.
Then he met a boy named Danny.
With ghost powers like his, very uncanny.
The differences were there however, there in his mind.
Green eyes met red.
They were half human, half dead.
Interactions were a strain,
And so enemies the two half ghosts became.
For once spoken angry words cannot be unsaid.
Phantom fought ghosts, hard did he try.
Plasmius plotted, wanting Jack Fenton to die.
"Get lost Vlad, you freak!"
"Compared to me boy, you are weak!"
Danny and Vlad never saw eye to eye.
Second chances were given to all but one.
He became isolated, half ghost on the run.
Vlad gave into sweet temptation,
Ultimately ruining his own reputation.
Now he regrets what cannot be undone.
Danny lost his identity at the exile of his foe.
Times grew tough and he became filled with woe.
Deemed a success, the world's greatest hero.
He hated it though, and was better off a zero.
When on top of the world, there's nowhere to go.
Acceptance they had yearned,
But some lessons were not learned.
One another they could have supported,
But sadly their own views were distorted.
So by hating each other it was themselves who they burned.
Vlad and Danny, similar lives they had found.
Both left unhappy, feeling lower than the ground.
Danny alone, in a sea of fans.
Vlad lost in space, thanks to all his failed plans.
Things were much better with the enemy around.
