How could we celebrate your special day?
A day off to wash all your troubles away,
Perhaps a banquet with your favorite dishes,
Perhaps a party to hang with the missus,
You could dance as the rhythm of the music sways,
Before you throw this paper away,
It should be known that for everyday,
Ready or not 'because we're here to say,
Thanks for all the food you make for us,
Happy birthday from us to you,
Don't let this year go to waste,
After all,
You're only (insert age here) once!
Some day you'll find the "All Blue",
And we'll be there to see you smile,
Never forget that we're always here for you,
Just keep us close to your heart,
In case you lose your way
Sanji stared at the small note. They must have put a lot of thought into this; he could even see where they tried to erase some words. "Those bakas," he whispered; as he went to the kitchen. When he walked in he saw all of them sitting at the table, with the biggest smile on their faces.
"We know it's not much," Luffy said, "but we all came up with that little poem for you."
Sanji just stood there in disbelief. Not only was everyone at the table, but they even made him a small cake.
"We tried the best we could." Chopper squeaked, "What's wrong?"
There the cook stood; gazing at his friends. The ones he would give his life for. Well, except for the marimo.
"I knew it wasn't fancy enough." Usopp whispered to himself.
Zoro, who had both eyes closed, opened one eye. "If you don't want the cake, then just say so. Don't stand there like an idiot."
"I think Mr. Cook is just lost for words." Robin said with a smile.
"Bakas." Sanji repeated louder. "You didn't have to do this."
Nami smiled, "But we wanted to."
The curly eyed man shook his head, "Seeing you all enjoy my food is all I could ask for." He no longer had a frown on his face. It was now a big generous smile. A smile only his friends could bring to him.
Luffy grinned big and goofy. "Then let's eat!"
A big dinner was prepared, only the best. The rest of the crew thought he threw the paper away. They didn't care, but he didn't. Sanji wanted to keep the poem close to his heart. So he kept in his inner coat pocket. So very close to his heart.
Happy Birthday Sanji! i hope you all liked this little poem. can you spot the secret message in the poem? Sanji fan-girls unite! we love the curly eyebrow cook!
