I was running. I was running as fast as I could, away from the school, away from HIM, Away from everything. I was running as fast as I could.

And then my legs gave out.

I fell to the ground; I was under a cherry tree. It's beautiful blossoms lit up the tree so that it almost glowed. Lovely. The exact opposite of my mood right now.

Fuck it. I can't deal with this right now.

My piano lesson ran late, I have to get home. When I open the door I was welcomed with… rain. Perfect. I open my umbrella and stepped out into the icy cold.

I flipped open my cell phone and dialed a number that was so accustomed to my fingers; it was almost as easy as breathing.

I put the phone to my ear and was greeted by the familiar ringing, loud and clear over the phone line. "Ah, ruka-sama. I have been awaiting your call."

"Yes, my lesson was late. Pick me up at the front gates."

I shut it with a snap, not waiting for his reply.

I walked fast, my heels clicking on the path. A flower petal drifted down to land softly on the back of my hand, causing me to look up at the beautiful pink tree above me.

A scrap of blue caught my eye and I snapped my head around. There was a boy sitting on the ground with his back against the tree, his legs drawn close to him and his arms around them. I couldn't see his face; it was hidden between his knees.

"Um, excuse me?" I called, tentively stepping of the path. "Are you alright?"

His only response was a shiver.

"You must be freezing, here." I slid my jacket off my shoulders and held it out.

He looked up, and I finally got a look at his face. It was haruhi fujioka, the transfer student from class 1-A, his eye were red as though he had been crying.

"Here put this on, you must cold." I shook the jacket. He didn't move. I waited. Finally he spoke. "I'm fine."

I shook my head. "I insist. Come on, do you have a ride home?"

He seemed torn, but he must have been too tired to argue, because he staggered to his feet and took the jacket from my hands.

Oh my god… I never thought I would get that up… but, believe it or not, here it is! Review, please!
