Hello Fanfiction people! Its kind of my first story in this category so don't blame me if it sucks (although I think you guys will be pretty surprised).
So first I do NOT own Fossil Fighter, or anything in that game. I just own the main character in my story, Krypter.
This story goes a little bit like the fossil fighter game… But I twisted it and added more suspense. Gunhash will not exist in this version, but most of the characters are going to be in the story.
And before I start the story I just want to give a shoutout and thank my Beta Reader Leaffrost101. She corrected my story and improved it. And also DunalN2. That one encouraged me of continuing the French version of this story. So thanks to you two! Go check out their profiles and stories if you want!
Now I'm going to stop talking before I bore you to death. So on with the story, and like I said, hope you guys will like it! Leave reviews to tell me your opinion and, or you can also PM me!
I will now go on with the story! And btw, as you can see, this is the first chapter, so it obviously won't be as good and as well written as the other ones, especially the last chapters.

"Don't you think it's a wonderful day, mate?" Captain Travers says to me, glancing at my figure from the command board. He's driving the boat while I'm watching our watery surroundings, my head sticking out the window located beside my seat throughout most of the trip. He has a hand on the steering wheel while the other is on his arm rest. The man seems relaxed, although his stare would often cling to me during the two-hour ride. A thousand secrets seem to be hiding behind those piercing blue eyes, but his facial features remained friendly each time I glanced at him. I'm probably just being paranoid. I should stop thinking like that; I wouldn't want to ruin this experience before it even started!
"It sure is!" I answer to him, my eyes shining in delight, my worries from earlier disappearing.
Today there is a cloudless sky and a big sun above our heads to warm and enlighten us. This is definitely the nicest and chattiest captain I know! This man is in his thirties and has short brown hair, topped by a blue captain's hat. Oh, but I forgot to introduce myself!
Hi, my name is Krypter and I'm 15 years old. I'm average height, have dark brown eyes and short black hair. I'm pretty energetic but also resourceful. I love adventure and curiosity can get the best of me sometimes. I'm also a fan of dinosaurs, which is why I'm on my way to the world's most popular dinosaur island: Vivosaur Island! For some reason, there's a ton of fossils there. All those who visit the island either want to become a professional fossil fighter or want to learn more about vivosaurs and dinosaurs. I came for both! I want to become the best fossil fighter in the world, every kids' dream!
A vivosaur is a dinosaur that is revived from a fossil and has special abilities. You can do battles with them and trade fossils with your friends! Enough said, now back to the trip.
As I was saying, Captain Travers hasn't stopped asking me questions since the beginning of the trip. He basically knows everything about Krypter Paleimi now. But I don't mind; I enjoy conversing with other people! Being social is a quality many appreciate about me.
"Look lad, we're almost there!" he suddenly points out, his finger directed at the horizon in front of us.
I shift my gaze to the front of the boat. A big patch of land is approaching fast toward us. I can see a couple people walking around on trails, smiling and having a good time. Flying vivosaurs are following us in the sky; Pteras, I think they're called. The beautiful island is covered in trees and mountains, and I can even see a volcano showing itself deep in the northwest section of the island! I think I'm going to have a good time here.
"We're here!" Captain Travers says, turning to face me. "Good luck mate, I hope we'll see each other again soon!"
The boat stops to let me out and then leaves. I'm standing near a dock, and I can see three buildings facing me. There's a fountain on my left, where there's a girl running laps around it, and a small wooden booth right next to me. Two young women come in my direction. One of them approaches and bows before greeting me.
"Hello and welcome to Vivosaur Island! My name is Beth and this is Sue."
Then the second lady tilts at her turn.
"Have you come here to become a fossil fighter?" Beth continues.
I nod.
"Well, then head towards the fossil center which is located right in front of you. The receptionist will tell you what to do after. See you later!"
She points to a large building before walking away with Sue. I follow her directions and head toward the fossil center.
Upon entering the building, I see a lady behind a counter straight ahead and walk up to her. She welcomes me and says:
"Hello, my name is Wendy, are you new? Want to become a fossil fighter?"
I shake my head yes, a wide grin lighting up my features.
"Well then, I suggest for you to go see Doctor Diggins," she then says. "He's in the cleaning room. To get there, you can take the elevator on your right." The woman gestures to a door close to her.
I thank her before boarding the elevator. The door soon opens on a room filled with all kinds of advanced machines. I rush into the room to contemplate the machines, amazed. Seeing them in real-life as opposed to on television is incredible!
A man notices my presence from behind a pile of papers and walks up to me. He's average height and has dark brown skin. A lab coat covers his Hawaiian shirt, and he has orange shorts on. His short hair is turquoise, plus he's wearing small glasses. His eyes sparkle as he holds out his hand.
"Hey there! Are you a fan of dinosaurs wanting to learn how to become a fossil fighter?"
I shake his hand before answering.
"Oh yes! I want to be one of the best fossil fighters in the world!"
The man smiles.
"Then you're at the right place! I am Doctor Diggins. Would you like me to show you how to clean fossils? Then I'll explain how to revive a vivosaur. I should be able to clear my packed schedule for a young fossil fighter eager for adventure."
"Yes please! And my name is Krypter."
"Well then, follow me Krypter."
He then begins to walk towards a machine that looks like a large television. He then starts explaining how to clean and revive fossils.

"Did you understand everything?" The man asks me after he's done his long speech.
"Yes, I think so," I honestly answer, my head spinning with the complex explanations.
"Good! Now, do you want to revive your first vivosaur?"
"Yes!" I say, excitedly.
"Here, take this fossil." He hands me a rock of average size. "Use everything I taught you to thoroughly clean the fossil. There's a head inside; it'll be your very own first vivosaur. Ready?" I nod. "Go! You have ninety seconds!"
I begin to remove the two first layers with the hammer…
I'm done after eighty-five seconds. The fossil has some scratches, but not that many. I managed to remove all the rock from the fossil!
"Wow, very impressive!" the professor says when I'm done, examining the head. "This fossil is worth… 95 points! You really surprise me Krypter! I'm sure you will be one of the best fossil fighters. Now put the head on the floor." He motions to the ground.
I obey his instruction.
The head suddenly begins to shrink, then changes color and form. The head transformed into a medallion! I pick it up in my hand, a feeling of pride warming my stomach. This is my vivosaur; I revived it with my own hands.
On the medal, there's an image of a gray and green vivosaur with long spikes on its back, and it's standing on his two back legs. The vivosaur also has two large jaws filled with sharp teeth. Six letters are engraved at the bottom of the front of the shiny medallion: Spinax.
"That's a Spinax," Diggins says. "It's one of the first vivosaurs a fighter gets. Right now, he's only level two. Find his other parts and participate in fossil battles with him to make your vivosaur stronger. Well," he then says, patting me on the shoulder. "I think you have learned enough for today. You can go to the hotel which is the building on the right of the fossil center. When you get there, go to the front desk and register. The receptionist will give you your room key. You can come back tomorrow and I'll teach you the next step to becoming an official fossil fighter. See you tomorrow!"
I thank him for his time. I then put the medallion in my backpack and leave the fossil center, walking towards the hotel.
I cross the building's entrance and go up to the receptionist. He asks me for my name and where I'm from. I answer his two questions correctly, which results in him giving me the key to my room. I have room L-2.3. I head to the elevator and start searching for it. It is located on the second floor, third door on the left. I enter the room and throw my bag on the bed. In it are stuffed clothes, my Spinax medallion, a water bottle and two hundred dollars for food and other stuff.
The room is quite extravagant, with a flat-screen TV in front of my bed while there's a balcony with a forest view next to it. There is also a bathroom with a sink and a bath, and a small kitchen close to the balcony. The chamber is slightly decorated with portraits of vivosaurs and dinosaurs. There's also the daily newspaper on my bed, waiting to be read.
I don't know how long I'll stay on this island, but I know it's going to be longer than a week. At least I have a nice room and the staff around here looks nice.
I go out on the balcony to watch the sun set. After that I come back inside to put my pyjamas on and then go to bed. As soon as my head touches the pillow, I fall asleep.
When Krypter was on the balcony, he didn't see the shadowy figure dressed in black who was watching him with a pair of binoculars, hiding behind bushes. He lowers them from his face. His pale blue eyes are shining in the moon's reflection… After Krypter goes back inside his room, the stranger with blue eyes begins to discreetly sneak away to the park…
So did you guys like it? I tried to make the first chapter as interesting as possible. Try to guess who the mysterious figure that was spying Krypter is… Next chapter coming soon, just have to translate it and let Beta Reader correct it. So bye until next time!
