AN: This can be read either as a sequel to "Soggy" or solo with an understanding of an established McAbby relationship. This is for Tel Nok Shock in response to her story prompt "A Kiss In The Rain"

MN: Fluffy little piece of fluffiness! YAYAYAYAYAY

"Abby?" Tim reached down to scratch Jethro behind the ears as he hung his keys on the hook by the door to the garage, noting that the dog's fur was slightly damp.

"Where is she boy?" The dog danced away toward the back of the house, coming to a stop by the glass patio door. He followed the pup, setting the bags in his hand on the table as he passed it. He looked through the glass and spotted her, standing on the covered porch watching the rain.

He opened the door and slid out, making sure not to allow the dog to follow him. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Everything okay?"

She leaned back into him and nodded. "Yeah. I was just enjoying it."

"As nice as it is, I brought dinner. It's going to get cold. But it's supposed to rain all night, we can come back out later."

She nodded again and turned in his arms. "Sounds like a plan." Leaning up she gave him a quick but thorough kiss then led him back inside.

Once the leftovers were put away and the dishes washed, Tim went in search of his sweatshirt. Finding both his and Abby's hanging in the coat closet, he donned his own and took hers to her. The rain was making the air outside get chilly, but he knew she'd still want to go back out.

As she opened the door, Jethro pushed past them both, jetting out into the yard. The yard they hadn't managed to get fenced in yet. Abby was in front of him and ran out after the dog, ignoring the pouring rain. By the time he caught up with her she had the dog by his collar and the three of them were all soaked.

Tim reached down and took hold of the collar, leading Jethro back toward the porch, scolding him on the way. He attached the dog to the tie out chain he'd installed the day they moved in and turned to make sure Abby was still heading back toward the house.

He should have been paying more attention to where he put his feet than the way his girlfriend's clothes were plastered to her body. He slid in the mud and landed on his rear with a squish.

Abby rushed toward him, questioning if he was alright. "I'm fine. Nothing damaged but my pride."

Apparently she felt that gave her license to start laughing at him. As she reached down a hand to help him up he grinned wickedly and yanked her down into his lap. She tried to yell at him but it came out instead as a giggle and in a moment they were both laughing.

When they regained their composure she moved to get up, but once again he pulled her down. She looked at him quizzically. It really didn't matter; they were both soaked through anyway. He leaned up and captured her lips with his, enoying the taste of the rain on her lips as it melded with a flavor he could only describe as 'Abby'.

He enjoyed the kiss for several long moments before he withdrew. He helped her to her feet wordlessly then accepted her hand in rising. They squished through the yard to the garage door. Once inside they stripped out of their clothes, making a pile of muddy, sodden fabrics on the garage floor.

Abby reached for the door to the house then shot a look back over her shoulder. "I'm going to go get in the shower. If you hurry up tossing that in the wash, you could probably join me."

Tim stared after her for a moment as she strode through the house naked then reached for the pile. He was pretty sure he could dump it all in the washer with some soap, ready to be started and make it to the master bath before she had the water warm, but he had no intention of testing his luck by lollygagging.
