"Here, Asuka, take this," said Misato cheerfully, holding up her fingers as if something was held between them. "It's the newest model plugsuit!"
"... okay," Asuka said slowly, but didn't exactly reach out and grab it.
"It's made of a special new material that idiots can't see. Oh ... are you saying you can't see it?" Misato added slyly.
"Um ... Misato ... you do know I'm from Germany, right?"
"You've never made any particular secret of that fact."
"And that Germany is right next to Denmark?"
"... I did learn a bit about geography in college."
"And that Denmark was where Hans Christian Andersen wrote 'The Emperor's New Clothes', which I read when I was In preschool?"
"... I have no idea what you are talking about, I'm going to go give this new plugsuit to Rei. She'll appreciate it," Misato said with a sniff, and promptly departed.

"Here, Rei take this," said Misato cheerfully, holding up her fingers as if something was held between them. "It's the newest model plugsuit!"
Rei looked up from her book, and looked at the alleged plugsuit for a moment. Then she went back to her book.
"It's made of a special new material that idiots can't see. Oh ... are you saying you can't see it?" Misato added slyly.
"No," said Rei without looking up. "I cannot."
"... you could stand to have a little more pride, you know!" Misato told her irritably.
