Chapter 1

Captain Picard felt a hand brush his ear which woke him up.

"... I don't remember sleeping with anyone... Q!"

He rolled over to find his thoughts to be correct. There Q was laying right next to him, under the covers in his bed.

'Q! what the hell are you doing here!'

Q smiled ' I've missed you, is that so bad?'

Picard sighed and rolled back over 'go away please, I have no time for your games.'

Q placed his arm over Picard and pulled him close 'you seem to have plenty of time'

Picard chuckled 'no I really don't, now let go of me, I have to sleep.'

'hmm... maybe I can still use your one weakness in my male form'

'No Q, I'm a far cry from even liking you. I've just given up on you actually leaving or even respecting my personal space so I'm hoping that if I just laugh at you you'll get bored and leave'

'Ahh, Mon Capitaine. You miss that if you do that I'll simply be here more often because you'll be the only one in the universe that laughs at me.'

'Great, how can I get you to leave me alone?'

Q laughed 'You can't! You're stuck with me for life Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the U.S.S Enterprise!'

'Great, I'll go jump off a ledge then!'

'You'll be stuck in the afterlife with me for eternity then'

'… that wasn't a dream?'

'Nope, all of that happened'

' Great, goodnight Q. I'm going to try to sleep now.'

'I'll stay up all night and protect you from the monsters in you closet.' said Q who then planted a kiss on the captain's cheek.

' I'm fully capable of defending myself Q'

The next morning.

The Captain woke up, Q was gone. He felt a small bit of sadness but never the less, he stood up and prepared for a boring typical day.

' Do you really think I'd leave without saying good bye?'

'One can only hope'

'Admit it, you like it when I'm here'

'It's certainly less boring, I wouldn't say I like it though. Where are you anyway?'

'I'm in your mind, literally.'

'Great, Get the hell out please.'

'Nope, I'm just going to stay here.'

Captain Picard sighed. 'You really annoy me'

Q laughed ' I know! It's so fun to watch you mortals when you're annoyed!
