Soup
Danny POV
It was another insufferable hot day, why in the name of god did Stanley have to come to here to this pineapple infested hell hole? My guess is because he knew I would hate it here but would come just to be close to Grace. This was his way of showing me that he was a part of Rachel and Grace's life now, as if I could possibly forget that fact. I tried to forget what was on my mind before arriving at work as I knew that Steve would persist that I spilled my guts and I just wasn't in the mood to see the pity in his eyes, I know he doesn't mean to feel sorry for me and I don't want his sympathy but it's always so clear in his eyes.
Picking up a coffee before entering Headquarters I slowly made my way up, already breaking out in a sweat due to the many stairs that separated me from my office. Finally making it there with beads of sweat on my forehead I walked straight to Steve's office to find him sitting at his desk drinking soup. My mouth hit the floor luckily I still had control of my hand or my coffee would also be there.
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
He looked up at me the mug touching his lips
"What?"
"Your drinking soup … in Hawaii? It's like a million degrees outside and your drink soup!"
"I like soup"
"Soup is for when it's cold, raining or snowing … not for hot weather like this"
"Soup is simple"
"I'll tell you what's simple and it's not the soup!"
"Danny relax its just soup"
A/N I did say it was short ! I felt like writing something so this is what came out ….
