A/N: Well guys here is a one shot for Itachi and Sasuke. Tell me what you think okay?

"Forgive me Sasuke, next time okay?"

"Forgive me Sasuke, next time okay?"

"Forgive me...Sasuke..."

Why? Why? Itachi, why didn't you just kill me too? I asked him looking at the man before me. He got up and walked to me. He poked me on my forehead again. "Because you were young and innocent."

His fingers lingered there.

"The other children were too. Why?"

"They were not my brother. You were different. You were special. You were the only one...I could not turn my blade on. Forgive me Sasuke...next time okay?"

I felt the tears burning my eyes. I swatted his hand away and put my hands to my eyes. After all this time...all this time I finally had what I wanted. I was dreaming, I knew it because the man in front of me was dead. Now that he was dead I had nothing. Now that I knew the truth I wanted him back in this world beside me. I needed him to keep me off the edge.

"Itachi...Itachi...Itachi..." I sobbed. Suddenly I was the little brother all over again. In my child like form Itachi picked me up and hugged me. "Forgive me...Sasuke..."

Of course I forgive you! How could I not?!

You mattered more to me than anything in this world. You were my brother. Who else did I have? "Itachi...Itachi..."

"They were not my little brother...Forgive me Sasuke"

"I forgive you...I forgive you."

"I've broken all my promises to you...forgive me."

Why did this hurt so much? Even before I knew the truth something inside of me died. I didn't really want him dead. He was the last part of me that I had left. All the other parts I had killed off...Sakura...Naruto...Kakashi...all gone. All that was left was Itachi. All that was left was the last of the Uchiha clan.

"Itachi...Itachi...Itachi..."

"Forgive me Sasuke...this will be the last time."

His fingers lingered, again I was a grown man before him. The blood dripped from his mouth and then he fell beside me. I felt the pain of his loss all over again. "Itachi...Itachi...Itachi..." he was all I had become...without him there was nothing.
"Forgive me...Sasuke..." I heard his final words before I woke.
