Fearless

A flash of lightning rent the sky as she made her way out from underneath the piles of junk. Standing up to her full height she spread her arms out wide, welcoming the onslaught of rain. A heavy bass drum thunder made its way across the bleak dull gray clouds. Everyone knew lightning was dangerous, but she didn't care anymore. She couldn't care. All her life she had been scared; scared of thunderstorms, macavity, of death. Another lightning pitchfork flashed across the sky, hitting a nearby tree that would've burst into flames if not for the torrent of rain. Feeling it pelt her face and whiskers she knew she wouldn't be afraid anymore. She couldn't be afraid anymore.
