Yes, it's unusually short. Please deal.

It wasn't exquisite, or even homemade. But it was the start of his 32nd birthday, and Leesie intended for everything to go smoothly.

The dinner was simple enough, yet romantic all the same. Pasta with a tomato and basil sauce and some red wine; the pasta take-out from an Italian eatery not far from where they lived. Candles were set up, lights turned down low. Everything was set up for the perfect evening, leading up to... well, the rest of John's gift.

But one move turned that all around as Leesie knocked a glass of red wine down the front of John's buttoned shirt.

"I'm so sorry!" She apologised, her cheeks heating slightly as she straightened the wine glass.

Flashing his charming smile, John just shook his head, unbuttoned the shirt and tossed it aside. "Chill, Leesie. It'll come out."

Nodding, she went back to her meal; her cheeks still a healthy pink.

John, however, went from smiling to grinning. Taking a reasonable sized fork full of pasta, he got his girlfriend's attention before reaching across the table with his fork. At the last moment, however, he swerved and let the pasta fall onto her shirt.

She wanted to chew him out, seeing as it was her favourite shirt, but she just smiled and pulled the shirt over her head, tossing it in the same direction as John's.

From there, the nice dinner was forgotten as it became a game. Both stood, grabbing a handful of food and tossing it at one another, hitting each other's chest. John's wife beater came off, as did Leesie's cami, leaving her in her bra. As sexily as she could, she let her hands wander over the table, keeping eye contact with John and a devilish grin on her lips.

Before he had time to react, his plate of Italian cuisine was tipped against the crotch of his jeans before tumbling to the ground. John smirked, quickly pulling off his jeans and just leaving them there.

"Leesie, you have some 'splaining to doooo."

With a high pitched shriek, Leesie took off, John not far behind her. It wasn't hard for him to catch up to her in the hallway and took even less effort to pin her against the wall and capture her lips in a fiery, passionate kiss.

This was definitely not a birthday he was going to forget.
