A Replacement for Rex

Cat's POV

Rex's funeral day, were all wearing jumper as Robbie said. After the funeral, we all went to Robbie's house.

*Robbie's House*

I'm the first to hug him, for I am his best friend since 3rd grade,

"It's okay Robbie, I'm here,"

"Cat?"

"Yes Robbie?"

"Would you replace Rex as my best pal?"

"Sure Robbie, anything for my best friend,"

Then we let go. I stayed with him until others leave. I want to stay with him for that moment; I will be serious just this time.

"Why did you stay?"

"Because I know you need a comfort, and I'm here for you Robbie,"

"Thanks you Cat"

"Uhm...why would we play in the park and have fun for a while?"

"Sure, come on let's walk."

While we're walking, I was thinking how he met Rex, so I asked him,

"Robbie?"

"Yes Cat?"

"How did you meet Rex?"

"When I was 3 years old, my mom gave me a green dinosaur toy, and named it Rex. It was my favourite toy. Then, I accidentally broke its head, and when my dad saw me crying and holding my broken Rex, he brought me to his puppet store. He makes me one. When it was done, I named it Rex,"

I was so amazed, ever since he was a child, he's always with Rex, and I understand his feelings.

"If you were given a chance to have another Rex, will you accept it?"

"No,"

"Why?"

"Because, I want to live freely, and I'm not a child anymore,"

That was what Jade said when Rex almost died; he'll gonna get over it and become a normal person.

"Move your body right next to mine," he sang

"Feel the beat we're lost in time," I continued

"Forever baby," we sang together, and then we laughed.

When we reached the park, we ran to the slides, seesaw and swing. Until we realized that we were holding hands, we looked each other, we let go our hands.

"Cat?"

"Yes Robbie?"

"Would you stop replacing Rex and…" he paused

"Hey! He's the one who killed Rex!" he pointed to a man walking near us… its Danny?

"Hey Danny, what are you doing here?"

"Taking you away from this freak!"

"Hey I'm not a freak, who are you?"

"I'm her boyfriend!"

From that moment, Robbie look shocked.

Robbie ran away and never looked back.

A/N: Sorry, I didn't put Robbie's POV. By the way, before Robbie paused, he's going to ask Cat if he could be her boyfriend, but Robbie didn't know that Cat already has. Hope you enjoy it :)
