(Hoagie's point of view)
I'm at the bus station waiting for the bus the solders to get on with Wally and Patton. All of our friends and family is here.
"Hoagie?" My fiancé, Abby, said. I looked down at her.
"Yeah?" I said with a huge smile on my face. When I was a kid people would never believe that I would be in the army but I will serve this country that I love.
"Don't be an idiot. Please come back and make me your wife. Don't do anything that risks your life." Abby said starting to cry.
"I'm going to be fine." I said the bus pulled up and I gave her a kiss goodbye and walked that way. Abby yelled out to me.
"Hoagie please keep your head low and come back to Abby." Abby screamed. I got on the bus and waved goodbye from the window.
We got in battle and got cornered by the enemy. The general started to talk. "Boys we need someone to run to the town and get help." He said and without thinking of what Abby said my hand was in the air. He nodded and I was off.

It's been two weeks since they went off to war. I got a letter in the mail three days ago but was scared to open it. I grabbed the letter and opened it. It read:
Dear, Miss Lincoln:
We hate to inform you that Mr. Hoagie Gilligan died going to get help. You should be proud to have been his fiancé. He saved many lives.

A tear came down my cheek as a crumbled up the letter and put it in the trash.
It was a Wally and Kuki story of mine when it had the song in it but I changed it to Abby and Hoagie. I also made the generals name up. I hope you liked it. :D
