Title: Words Unsaid
Pairing: Talia/Bruce
Universe: Nolan-verse
Rating: K
Summary/AN: There is a very thin line that separates Bruce and Bane, but the line, however thin, stills divides them. — In which I explore why Talia always used 'my friend' when referring to Bane.

**Also MoaAG is being revamped and what not, thanks to Kishimoto screwing us all over with Tobi being Obito - since it is fanfiction, the changes made to that fic DO NOT reflect the new endgame between Naruto and Hinata**

"Talia. My name is Talia."

When she saved her friend, her protector, from the Pit, Talia had not foreseen the possible repercussions. As time passed and they grew together - he watched her with increasing interest. This did not go unnoticed by Talia or her father, Ra's. She was disgusted by him yet she saw the value of his friendship and kept him by her side. She planned to use him for inside of Talia, a hatred began to fester. Pure, unadulterated hatred for the man who allowed her to rot away in the Pit.

The day finally came, when Ra's saw Bane as a potential threat and cast him out. Talia begged her father to relent however Ra's remained steady in his decision.

"That man is a monster."

He would say over and over again. Finally, frustrated with his daughter, he would beat her relentlessly. Talia, often the loser in these skirmishes, would cry and pin away for her friend. Until one day, her father, strangely joyous, came with news of a new member.

Ra's bellowed praises of the man named Bruce Wayne. That he could easily surpass Bane in anything - furthermore, Bruce, unlike Bane had moral authority. An iron will that would not, could not be broken. Talia would scoff at such compliments. No man existed that could surpass Bane, of that she was sure.

One night, her father briefly allowed his daughter to share in his thoughts.

"I fear an old friend will visit and I shan't return."

Talia did not understand.

Again, as part of his greater plan, he cast out Talia as well. It was always for the greater good, for one day she would understand - she would honor him. as his death neared, he set his plan motion. He knew that Bruce Wayne held the key to his demise. He knew that Talia, angered and betrayed, would seek vengeance against Bruuce. Ra's also knew that Talia, predictable and naive Talia, would not fail in her true mission.

Even if it was unknown to her.

When Talia heard that her father was dead, she murdered the survivors that had accompanied him to Gotham.

Years later, as Talia told her tale to Bruce Wayne, Batman, she knew it would be the only way to present a confession. As she spun a story, laid herself bare to be judged, she knew by the mere look in his eyes that he had loved her.

As she fixed the mask on Bane's face, the realization creeping in to his eyes that he had been discarded, used - it struck no chord in Talia's heart. Bane was a companion, a tool - like all friends were.

In those final moments, she had shattered Bane's heart and resolve and felt no regret for it. Yet, when Talia laid eyes on Bruce, his eyes tearing and his mouth gasping; she regretted everything.

"We could leave. Tonight. take my plane, go anywhere we wanted…"

A/N: Reason why this was made? 'Cause I like Talia, she's bad ass and she's one of Bruce's main love interests in the comics besides Selina (Catwoman). They even have a kid together. Funsies, right? You may now blame me for ruining your life. Don't believe me? Look up Damian Wayne on DC Wiki or regular Wiki. Still don't believe he's canon?
