Sister's Revenge
A/N: Okay, this is by far the SHORTEST thing I've ever written. It was just a spur of the moment thing that hit me during a bout of boredom during a history class. It's my very poor attempt at humor and I hope that someone out there finds this funny. Anyhoo, this is dedicated to all sisters out there, older and younger. Enjoy.
April stared in disbelief at the scene before her. High above her, the Turtles were clinging to the steel beams that held up the elevated ceiling of their underground home. Though it was hard for her to make out, she could see that each and every one of them was miserable and probably wishing to be back on the ground again.
Directly below them, she could see their sister, the feline girl Magnolia, was on the prowl. She would either pace on two legs or four, depending on which action struck her at the moment. But her eyes were constantly glued on her brothers above and every so often she would hiss.
It was a low, menacing hiss that was nearly a growl. There was a clear message behind each one that even Mikey wouldn't have a problem figuring out. Though she said nothing, Maggie was basically saying that if any one of the Turtles came down anytime soon, they would get clawed and scratched.
"How long have they been up there?" April asked.
"Five hours," Splinter shrugged.
He sat next to April on the floor of the lair. Splinter was watching all of this as well, but didn't show the same concern and worry that April was feeling. If anything, he seemed distant to this whole event.
April looked at him in surprise," Five hours!?"
"Yes," Splinter nodded.
"Are you serious?" she replied.
"I am always serious," was the reply.
"O-okay. Yeah," April said uncertainly.
She turned her attention back to Maggie and the Turtles. The former, who could have easily climbed up to where her prey was but didn't, continued to pace and hiss. The latter on the other hand, still looked like wanted nothing more than to just get down from their perch. Though with the way Maggie was acting, it was definite that that was about to happen anytime soon.
"Um, shouldn't we try to get her to calm down so they can get down from there?" she asked nervously, glancing over at Splinter.
"No," he said.
Shock filled April's face when she heard this. Was Splinter serious? He wasn't going to help his sons when they were in trouble? True, it was just a danger from their little sister and a word from Splinter would call her off in an instant. So why wasn't he going to do anything?
"Why not?" April gasped.
"Because this will teach my sons a valuable lesson: When the cat is away, it is not always safe for the Turtles to read her diary," Splinter replied.
A/N: Told ya it was short. :P
