I am the Doctor. Last of the Time Lords. Alone in the Universe.
I travel through time and space. Going where I'm needed, if not always wanted. I fight where I can, I change what I can. I leave and often no one even knew I was there. Through my life I have seen much death, much pain, much hatred, I sometimes had cause to wonder if there was any goodness left.
Then I met Rose. A spark of joy in a dark night. She has a beautiful heart, an open soul and endless courage. With one step she took my hand and followed me into the unknown. She would follow me into the very fires of hell. She took my hand and we journeyed together through many worlds. I will protect her with my life. She gave up the only life she ever knew for me. She gave up her very world. I can never let her down.
Then I met Jack. A con-man, a scoundrel, a coward, a heart-breaker. He is all of these things… he is none of these things. He stands beside me. Shoulder to shoulder. He will fight if I ask. He will die if I ask. He is the thorn in my side. He is the strength by my side.
I am the Doctor. Last of the Time Lords. I am no longer alone.
