"Satoshi!" Daisuke bounced in to Satoshi's private study, where he was working.
"Shut up, Daisuke. I'm trying to work." Satoshi scribbled on a piece of paper.
"Oh, I'm sorry Sato..." Daisuke turned to leave.
"Daisuke, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." Satoshi looked apologetically over his papers at his long standing boyfriend of eight years. They had gotten together just after high school.
"It's okay Sato. I know you're busy." Daisuke smiled, then bounced out of the room to go find something else to do.
:-P
That night, Satoshi was burning the candle down trying to work. He couldn't think and he could hear Daisuke heading towards the room.
"Sato, you're not doing a good thing for your self, staying up all these extra hours. Come to bed, please?" Daisuke popped into the room.
"Would you shut up? I cant think, and you appearing every five seconds just isn't helping!" Sato yelled. Daisuke looked shocked. "Just get out! And stay out!" Satoshi was practically screaming. Daisuke's eyes filled with tears. He ran out of the room and out of the apartment, into the pouring rain.
"Oh, Daisuke..." Satoshi walked out off his office. He had been harsh on the man. Upon discovering that Daisuke was no where in the apartment, he ran outside screaming his name. The he saw the car was gone. "...No..." Satoshi whispered. What if something happened to his red headed lover?
:-P
Satoshi went back into the apartment. Maybe the news would calm his nerves. On the news there was a terrible car crash. Yeah, that was helping. Suddenly the phone rang.
"Hello? Daisuke? I'm sorry please come... home..." Satoshi trailed off realizing that it wasn't Daisuke on the phone.
"Hello? Sir, is this Satoshi Hiwatari?" The girl's voice on the other end of the line was cool.
"Yes, yes, what is it?" Satoshi asked in a hurry.
"Okay, you were the emergency contact in a Daisuke Niwa's cell phone? He's in the hospital sir. I'm sorry." The girl sounded like she recited this one hindred times a day.
After getting the details, Satoshi rushed to the hospital. Where he sat in a waiting room. For hours. Finally a doctor appeared to talk to him.
"We tried the best we could. He's stable for now, but I don't know how long he's going to last." The doctor said. "You can go in and see him now."
Satoshi ran in. "Dai? Daisuke?" But the man was asleep. So Satoshi slept by his side.
:-P
Daisuke woke up to see his lover sleeping in the chair next to the bed, holding his hand. Daisuke smiled. "So he does care." He muttered.
"Dai?" Satoshi jerked awake. "Oh, Dai! I've been so worried about you. How are you feeling?"
"I'm... fine." Daisuke smiled weakly. "Just... really really tired..."
"Okay. Okay. That must be a good sign." Satoshi smiled back.
:-P
A few hours later, Daisuke died. Satoshi was kicked out of the room, and finally returned to the apartment.
He found cold dinner and a letter waiting for him.
My dear, beloved Satoshi-
I wrote this letter because I'm still to shy to ask you
face to face. Will you marry me? You know. The thing with
the vows and my favorite line 'til death do us part'? Please
Sato. I love you.
-Daisuke
Satoshi broke down into tears. bitterly, he whispered "It certainly is til death do us part..."
