::waves sheepishly:: Hi, everyone! I'm really sorry I haven't updated ABP yet. It'll happen, soon! I've been working on the next chapter when I can, but I was unexpectedly given a lot of responsibilities this summer - including getting hired for a job I didn't apply for, long story. So, anyway, when I have the time to finish it, I'll get it up here ASAP! Until then, I pulled a story out of the depths of my computer I thought of long ago. It's just a short oneshot, but it amused me! Hope you enjoy!

...The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."

Harry sat across from his two best friends in the Room of Requirement. They had arrived back for their sixth year just a few weeks ago, and he felt like he just had to tell someone.

Ron summed up his and Hermione's feelings very well with his first response. "Bloody hell, mate."

Hermione smacked him upside the head, "Language, Ron!" She blinked, "Sorry, Harry, automatic response."

Harry grinned, thankful they weren't abandoning him, or worse yet, pitying him.

"Harry, what are you going to do? How can you fight You-Know-Who?" Hermione anxiously asked.

"Well, Dumbledore theorized that I'm unable to use the Dark Arts, which would explain why I couldn't cast the Cruciatus on Bellatrix at the Ministy. On the other hand, I have attempted to use them, so I'm unable to use the Light Arts now, however unable I am to use the Dark Arts." Harry shook his head, worried about the response his next suggestion was going to bring.

"What are you going to do then, mate?" Ron asked. "I mean, Dumbledore doesn't expect you to win with a Tickling Charm, does he?"

Harry braced himself. "No, Ron. He thinks that the power of Love will save me. I don't agree, though. I may have pushed Voldie out of my mind with love before, but if that was the power, wouldn't it have killed him at the Ministry? No, I think I need to fight fire with fire. I have to become more evil than he is."

Hermione's hand flew to her lips, her eyes beginning to tear up. "No... Harry you can't be thinking of-"

He nodded. "Yes, Hermione. It's the only way... I completely understand if you two want nothing to do with me. In fact, I would like it for you two never to come near me again. I care for you both too much to let you accidentally be hurt by this."

Hermione launched herself at Harry. "Oh, Harry! We'll miss you so much!"

Ten Years Later

"Master! There's an intruder in the fortress!" One of Voldemort's lackeys came tearing into the throne room.

"Well, you idiot, go find him and bring him to me!"

"No need, Thomas. I'm already here." Voldemort looked at the new arrival to see a tall, handsome man in a three piece suit, carrying a briefcase.

"Who are you?" Voldemort sneered.

"Aw, Tommy, you've forgotten me already? I'm hurt!" The man smirked. "I knew I couldn't defeat you how I was, so I decided to become more evil than you are. Of course, this doesn't make any sense to you at all, yet. Here, let me help." The man reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a business card. "Harry Potter, Attourney-at-Law."

Yup. That idea amused me for months. And, really, no offense to any lawyers out there! I like lawyer - if I wasn't so afraid of offending someone, I'd become a lawyer, I like to debate things!!! The stereotype and all just spoke to me.
