It was a cold winter day, and it was when Hitsugaya started to hate the winter. In fact, he hated every other season coming with it. With out Hinamori, there was no laughter of spring, no heat of summer, no sweet-ness of fall, or bitterness of winter. It was just numb. After Hinamori's passing, Hitsugaya was empty. She died at the hands of his most hated person, Aizen. After that, all was cold. No warm light reached him.

All of the sweet cherished memories brought him pain and suffering. The most painful is not what was said, but what he never did. He never told Hinamori he loved her. She never knew how he felt, and she never would. He passed every pain staking day, filling out paper work, just as if she were alive. The only difference was that she wasn't, and she was gone, forever.

Those few words that were never said brought pain to Hitsugaya, until the sweet relief of death came upon him. He promised that he would protect Hinamori with his life, but with out here, he had no will of living. His last act as a captain was to avenge Hinamori, which he did. Then, he got his wish. After seeing Aizen die at his hands, he let himself depart the world. While his life was trickling away, all he was thinking about was the lost beam of light on his world.

A few years later, on the human world, a young girls voice could be heard saying, "Shiro-chan" just as she used to, and a young boy's voice saying "Bed-wetter Momo," just as always. Fate had given another chance for these two souls to say the words never said and amend mistakes, from one life time to another, because once two souls are joined together, together they will remain.
