I've read well over 100 different My Hero Academia fanfics, and a good percentage of them have Mineta either dying, turning evil, or getting kicked out on the first day of U.A. I always wondered why people did this, I mean, he's not THAT bad a character. I understand that some, if not most people, are often sickened by his actions or thoughts toward the females in MHA, and I can respect that. But, to kill him off, and to laugh at his death, is just...wrong. I mean, he's only 15 years old. Name a 15 that you know that ISN'T perverted. Sure, there may be some that aren't, but the majority (at least where I am) is that boys at that age are just a bunch of perverts.
15 year olds aren't exactly known for their self control, and I enjoy watching Mineta essentially make a fountain of Class 1-A pornography for the females. Let me remind you for those that hate on him, that this "mindless pervert" tricked 6 females at once, and got them to wear sexy cheerleader outfits, and then happily watched as 4-6 enjoyed themselves; DANCING in said outfit. I mean, he's not really going off scot free, with all the tongue whippings that he's gotten from Tsuyu. But, you have to admit, he's the 9th smartest person in their class for a reason.
But time and time again, people are hating one someone that isn't even real, and every time, I feel bad for both him, and the writer that can't see what he stands for. Each MHA stand for something, or and ideal of some sort, and he stands for the perverted and realistic side of things, where we would be scared shitless if we encountered what he did, and had to endure what he had to endure. He doesn't do much because the author hasn't let him do much, and for that, we should simply wait, and be patient for his time to shin, and for everyone else to stop being mindless Minoru haters, drunk on Mineta Hater-Aid.
