A:N This is for a friend of mine, Norikio Na No Da, glad I found you!

Detective Odafin Tutuola was at the end of his tether.

Stakeouts where bad enough, sitting in a freezing cold car with only a cup of coffee to keep you warm, hovering outside some suspect's home, waiting for him to emerge, it was boring and uneventful and so cold. However the something that was making this particular stakeout insufferable was the constant stream of noise coming from one, John Munch.

Fin had tried everything.

Buying endless cups of coffee to keep his partner's mouth busy had been his first plan, but that had been foiled by the fact that the coffee made Munch more and more energetic and resulted in yet more conspiracy stories.

Plan B consisted of Fin turning up the radio so loud that Munch's voice was drowned in the harsh, but beautiful sound of hardcore rap. This worked fine until Munch pointed out that the suspect and probably most of the city now knew they were there. Fin reluctantly turned off the radio.

After this incident he had become desperate, he had even tried listening to Munch in the hope he would shut up if Fin was actually interested in what he was saying. He didn't and he wasn't.

There was only one thing left to do really...

"...So what I want to know is why the government feels they need to-mmmph!" Munch's speculation was cut short as Fin mashed his lips into his partners'. It wasn't a loving kiss, it wasn't an affectionate kiss, it was a 'shut yo' skinny ass up' kiss and it was working wonders.

With a slight 'pop' Fin detached himself from his partner and sank back into his seat with a satisfied sigh, enjoying the resounding silence.

After a full twenty minutes of quiet he stole a look at his partner whose hand was clamped over his own mouth. Fin suddenly felt an unusual mixture of embarrassment, amusement and pity, he leant forewords.

"John?"

His partner turned to face him, an eyebrow raised, his breath coming out in little puffs of hot air.

"You know, Odafin, I was under the impression this was a stakeout, not a makeout,"

Fin rolled his eyes.

"Look, man, you just wouldn't shut up, I had to find away to make it all end, it was freakin' killin' me, bro, I..." Fin was cut short as his partner pressed his lips to his. It was a loving kiss, an affectionate kiss, it was a 'do, shut up, Odafin' kiss and it was working wonders.
