My Greatest Sin (A Sonnet)
You know what I confessed in the room, Dean?
My greatest sin was letting you down.
I'm sorry for when I did things obscene
Brother, I'm sorry you only frown.
When Ruby led me down the wrong pathway
And demon's blood became my crutch in life
You were in hell and I had lost my way
And you came back and fixed all of my strife.
I don't blame you for not trusting me Dean
But why must you keep reminding me of
My defeats and wrongs- can we wash it clean?
Can you just give my sinful ways a shove?
The trials have stopped, but Death will not scram
I hope you forgive me. Your brother, Sam.
