Miroku was unconscious from an overdose of poison and Sango and Kirara stood above and around to defend him against the horde of youkai. Shippo and Kohaku guarding Rin while Jakken and AhUn killed any youkai that got to close. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha had been fighting head to head against Naraku while Kagome shot her arrows from afar. Then as Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, and Kagome fired together the jewel grew to a blinding light as it faded Kagome was to be found missing.

Looking down upon myself I feel utter shame and self-loathing. With a shoulder placed upon my back I tense and loosen once I find it only to be Miroku. "They would have wanted you to be happy, do not let their sacrifices be in vain." I look downcast knowing he was right, with that being said I race off to where my journey first began.

Tightening my grip I hear wood chip and splinter as my tears of frustration and sorrow dribble down my chin onto the cursed well. Falling onto the rim I sob in the isolation that has surrounded me these last few years. I now know why Kikyo was as she was, why she loathed me until the end, the emptiness that took hold of her twisted itself into hate for the one thing blocking it's path from happiness. As I hear footsteps near I throw myself over the edge to escape the humility of being seen, of being pitied.

Kagome lands gently onto the bottom of the well. She catches her breath and looks at the opening of the well."Am I inside the well? Was that a dream?" turns around and see the broken human arm, "It wasn't a dream! I gotta get out!" stands "Sota! Are you there? Get Gramps!"There is no answer. Kagome grips onto the vines growing on the walls of the well and climbs upwards."That kid! He ran away!"
A pinkish glowing butterfly flutters near Kagome. "Huh?"The butterfly flies away as Kagome shakes off it's eerily familiar feeling. Kagome reaches the ledge of the well. However, it is no longer the interior of the hut anymore. A lush greenery and forest is seen instead. Kagome sits herself on the ledge.
"Where's this? I know I fell into the well at the shrine, but…"gets off the ledge and walks around "Gramps! Mom? Gramps! Mom!"
Kagome walks into a forest area, birds are tweeting in the pleasant forest. "Sota… Buyo… The shrine is gone. *gasps*The Sacred Tree!"The Sacred Tree that is in the Higurashi Shrine is seen among towering among the other trees. Kagome runs towards it happily."What a relief!" pushes away some bushes "I'm close to home!"
"A boy?" climbs up a root and walks to Inuyasha "Hey, what're you doing?" noticing two dog ears on Inuyasha's head, thinking "These…aren't human ears. I want to touch them…"
Kagome rubs Inuyasha's ears curiously with a loving with both hands for awhile. She stops and slouches over."Though maybe I shouldn't be doing that."Suddenly a group of villagers appear and draw arrows at Kagome.
