Complicated Love
Carla was sitting in her office going through some work and looking forward to spending time with her new man Nick. They hadn't been going out for long, just for a few months, but Carla was happy that she had finally moved on and found happiness again. It was Alaya that disturbed Carla from her thoughts about Nick
"Your coffee Mrs Connor" Alaya said as she put it on Carla's desk
"Thanks" Clara said with a smiled
"Thinking about Nick again?" Alaya asked
"Of course, who else would I be thinking about?" Carla smiled again
Alaya smiled back then got on with some work. They were soon disturbed by a frustrated Sally who was complaining about Beth again. Carla just rolled her eyes at Alaya who laughed quietly. Carla couldn't wait for this evening, spending time with Nick. It was all she could think about.
The evening soon came, Carla and Nick walked into the Rovers hand in hand and looked around watching everyone. They could see Liz complaining to Eileen and Michael about someone, Carla guessed it must be about Tony. They saw Sally and Tim having yet another argument with Sophie and Kevin watching them and looking uncomfortable. Carla and Nick also saw Gail glaring at Eileen and Michael as she sat with a loved up David and Kylie. Behind the bar they saw a loved up Michelle and Steve, Michelle smiled at Carla when she saw her and Nick walk through the door.
"Hey Chelle" Carla smiled
"Hey" Michelle smiled back, glad to see that her best friend was all loved up and happy
"How was your day?" Michelle asked as she got Carla and Nick their drinks
"Don't ask" Carla replied
"That bad?" Michelle
"Let's just say I'm glad it's the evening and I can spend some time with my man" Carla smiled then followed Nick to a table.
The evening was going well for Carla. She was laughing at Nick's jokes and staring into his eyes the whole evening, and occasionally kissing him. That was until two people walked into the pub. Carla hadn't noticed who had just walked in at first as she was too busy kissing Nick. Carla eventually noticed when he herd the mans voice ordering two drinks. Carla looked round at the bar and whispered "Peter" as Nick glared at him. Peter looked at Carla for a few minutes then turned to face his dad clearly upset about what he had just seen, Carla and Nick all loved up.
