Okay. I'm at home today because I just came home from a weeklong camp and I'm tired. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to sleep during the daytime, so here I am, writing to eliminate my boredom. This obviously isn't my best work, but I got the idea while I was watching Dr Phil, laughing at people's idiocy and throwing popcorn at the screen. I don't in any way own the Skulduggery Pleasant series.
So... Enjoy!

Dear Ms Valkyrie Cain and Mr Skulduggery Pleasant,
Yesterday, I was casually browsing my local bookstore, in the young adult section. You can imagine my surprise when I saw a book entitled: Skulduggery Pleasant.
I'll give you a moment to recover from the shock.
I, as a Mage and frequent visitor to China Sorrows' library, have obviously heard many a tale of you, the famous detective duo. You can imagine my curiosity as I picked up the book, and finding the cover was an illustration of a skeleton in a suit, with a flame in his hand. Reading the back, it confirmed my suspicions. The book was about you. I bought the book, and its sequels - Playing With Fire, The Faceless Ones, and Dark Days – All written by one Derek Landy.
I stayed up all night reading. The stories written by Mr Landy are almost identical to the ones I have heard of you. And Valkyrie is the main character. This means that it tells of very personal information, including, and Mr Pleasant, you should stop reading right now-
The identity of Darquesse, which is revealed at the end of Dark Days. But rest assured, Miss Cain, you may trust me completely. I am a friend.
The fifth book, Mortal Coil, is being released on just over a week. I am worried, Miss Cain, about the affect these books could have on your life and safety. With all of the information these book contain, if a Mage, especially a Mage who doesn't particularly like you, stumbles upon these books, the end result would ultimately lead to your demise.
I have taken it upon myself to research this Derek Landy, and as far as I can tell, he has no connection to the magical world, and it seems to be one giant coincidence. Of course, I highly doubt that.
I have sent with this letter the entire series so far.
Yours,
Angel Prince
I frowned at the letter in my hands, and looked at the pile of books that came with it. The colourful covers had pictures that were definitely of me and Skulduggery, and the silhouettes at the bottom clearly resembled Tanith, Ghastly, Skul and I. I picked up the last one, Dark Days, and flipped to the back. Darquesse. That word, written for the whole world to see, sent shivers down my spine. Then, I started wondering how on earth Landy knew so much about my life and how he knew the exact conversations I'd had and exactly what I'd done at certain times, from the direction I'd walked or the expression on my face, and even the emotions I'd felt. Suddenly, I felt paranoid. Extremely paranoid, as though someone was watching me. I felt scared. Scared about how much they knew, and scared that anyone could just pick up these books and know everything about me. Glancing around, I tried to convince myself I was alone. I picked up the letter and the pile of books and headed for the stairs. "Skul..." I called out. "We just got a very interesting letter."
